never bothered to check this out in the past, as the kbd liners say that it's a poop record. apparently I should at least get the rave-up lp.

Cowboys - Supermarket, from Ohio. That's my fave reggae influenced punk song and about the only one.

Two recent heavy items

I don't know what I'm more proud of. Insex, for those unaware, was Terry Hollywood's band before the Zero Boys. A-side is super crude garage and the b-side is super, super crude proto-power pop. Just killer. I had DON'T USE MY NAME against the wall for this trade. NO MERCY. ;D ;D ;D Quite rare, only 100 copies pressed or so. I hear RYEBREAD loves it.

Insex is a cool record, would also like to have one. but where do you file it? in the 60's garage box or in the punk box? difficult decision.

last night started going through my singles closet and realized I have hundreds of modern singles Ive purchased over the last 10 years that have no value to me and are worth less than the pressing cost.  Just taking up space and will most certainly not be listened to again.  anyone else in the same boat.

Same. That's why I stopped buying modern singles a couple-few years ago.

ha, it's the opposite for me, haven't bought almost anything modern the during the last ten years or so, but i started buying modern stuff again this year. lotsa releases, many of the mediocre but also some great stuff for sure. and yes, the better stuff comes out as lp's and not as a 7"s.

Clueless ebay buyers:

it's cool how he bent the sleeve to make it look more authentic

yes, borderline rip-off. however it still takes a naive buyer to make this work.

More fake Sex Pistols shit.

Learned something new I guess, always thought this LP was released in 1980.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/230864617236

Q: "Sid died in 1979, this was released in 1980, now wouldn't you say that's odd?"

A: "Actually it was released in 79, 80, 83, 86, 99 and 2008. The catalogue number on my record v2142 which was released in the UK and New Zealand in 79.

Attached you will find a scan of the label on my record that shows the release year and catalogue number. Below you will find a link that provides the catalogue numbers along with years released and locations.

And yes, when i first got it home i did think it was very strange. I did what you mostly likely did, i googled the release date and got 1980, then nearly shit my pants. but upon further investigation i found that it was also released in 79 which would mean it was printed and available while Sid was alive."

Q: "According to your discogs link, he had a TWO DAY window of opportunity to sign this, sounds perfectly LEGIT to me."

A: (Tough Guy Response) "think it through guy, do you think the album was printed on that day? if you don't want the album, then fuck off and quit wasting my time."

hey, this is an amazing artifact! this must be the sid's final autograph before his death! the seller should point that out!

i sent one to japan in 07 for 2k.

was that a eBay BIN?

I'd rate this as a S3/R5/L2. good record, but there's plenty of better ones, especially from California.

cool. at least this guy is showing some consistency.... which can't be said about the other bidders, who show a little bit more variation. at least it's the same folks bidding on the same record. i've had cases when i won something rare, and a week later another copy appears with a totally different set of bidders, ending at a totally different price.

I was actually at his house back in the 90s while on a trip to california . Sorry, but no special stores to tell.

The flip to that Adrenalin 45 "Cumz and Goes" is, in my opinion, better than the A side.
Which is saying a lot!

get it straight dude.... Cumz N Goes IS the A side.

yes, and it's a good thing that i found a copy of the Adrenalin on ebay as BIN ($3) a couple years ago  :)

http://collectorsfrenzy.com/Details.aspx?id=230819317232

sold for more than the Rebels or the MD (w. orig sleeve) recently did.
does this make it the rarest swiss punker? well, i hope the buyer won't be disappointed.

Music Shit / Re: Drunks With Guns s/t 7" pressing info?
« on: June 11, 2012, 09:36:04 PM »
anybody knows why these early singles by them are so easily available? for example, compared to the halo of flies singles from around the same time, these drunks with guns singles should be much harder to find.
