Sorry to overreact man, but I'm still a bit sensitive on this point, after 4 weeks of Goner.
That jive talk is a result of listening to all kinds of music by the way, and 25 years of hiphop have surely ruined my careerchances in debating class.

Hey Nanne,

I'm really sorry if it came across like I was saying you can't speak English. Overall your English is very good. From time to time though you do make some mistakes. Also, the beat-inspired "jive talk" you write in can be hard to understand, but I think that is intentional for the most part. Believe me, I know full well how hard it is to learn another language, and I've got nothing but respect for people who have the guts to write in a second language on a public forum. I actually post on a couple Japanese language forums on a regular basis, and I'm sure I make tons of mistakes when I do it. So I know what it's like to learn another language and then use it in public. Of all people I should have known not to bring up another's mistakes in a second language unless I knew said person well and was on good terms with them. So again, I'm sorry if I offended you or made you feel bad.

Just listened to the Jay Reatard album.  It is pretty damn great.

I give up.
That solorecord by Reatard is by far the dumbest thing he ever released. It's total crap. It's all bad songs, lousy production (really lousy, jesus h!) and a semibandsound so silly it would make you laugh if it wasn't sounding so horribly wrong.
This is what we call Semi European Shite. New Wave from the early eithies swifted over by some pointless screaming and low fi trickery. You people should be forbidden to listen to any early new wave and late British punkbands for a decade.

Wrong vocals (laughable), total idiotic chord chages and chorusses that will never last. Sounding like the Bunnyman on a Sundaymorning 'whipping out a hangover'.
It's crap.

I must add that I only heard the cd.
Might be that the sound is a whole lot better on vinyl, but I doubt it, to be honest. Doesn't matter much. Still a great record.

Hows the new Rippers album? When did that come out? Where can I get one?

It's great. Really good stuff. The production lacks the power of the first lp - it's a bit too clean I think - but the songs make up for it. Great band. Love 'em. It's out on Screaming Apple.
