Australia's Fair Work Commission vice president Michael Lawler uses the c-bomb on national TV last night. Says he's "cuntz-truck".

Force The Zone will ship this week to U.S folk that preordered. Pressing plant delay meant the release date was pushed back to the 9th - when our guy in NY was on tour with Cuntz. He's back today.

On a more bizarre note, Force The Zone has been nominated in the prestigious category of Best Heavy Album in the Music Victoria Awards, alongside other charmers like Fuck the Fitzroy Doom Scene, High Tension and King Parrot.

6. Next week, he is promoting a show by a band called Child Abuse. I guess it's okay for that one to go ahead - maybe because children aren't online harassing him to cancel it.

Us Australians really appreciate your efforts Jack! And thankfully you're not competing with the Aussie Rules Grand Final this year...

My first visit to the U.S was New York, 1989. The waitress who quizzed me about my accent and thought Australia was "near England" was incredibly cute. I wouldn't care that she spelled it Orstralia or confused us with Wales.

Scrod, get in touch if you're ever able to make it to Orstralia and I'll hook you up with those Sailors clowns - it might cost you a Memphis ashtray though.

New video for Cuntz "Nah Man" from Force The Zone - those lovable darlin's perform the song live and fuckin' nail it!

Check earlier post for first taste of Force The Zone, "Chinese Dreamboat".

The Sailors show we did here is still one of my favorite of all time. The Failure, Depression... CD has some of my fave Sailors tunes on it - Abattoir Blues, Slut for the Booze, Good Karma....so glad it's getting vinyl treatment -

It's just hard for me to rate it that way, since they played the previous material on their US tour and that was a post-breakup afterthought...I booked that ridiculous 5 week or whatever tour when they didn't have a single US release. Got a real nice Aussie ashtray out of it! They grabbed it at the airport. Got to see 'em 4 times, though, and they were great every time and always partied like mad after. I do like that release and I'm glad you're putting it out on vinyl where it belongs. They never got the run they deserved outside Australia.

The defence rests your honour. Here's an Aussie ashtray.

Absolutely. And yeah, CD only, but I reckon it's better than Viva La Beaver!

h M A S - Fear God Honour The King LP
Release date: 22nd June

Deluxe silkscreen cover edition. Hand numbered of 100 only. Die cut and glued, printed in New Zealand. Images:

Inner sleeve with liner notes by Julian Teakle (The Native Cats, The Frustrations, Tasmanian music historian) and Andy Hazel.
Gatefold booklet insert. Digital download includes bonus cassette-only albums: ... Goes Pop! and The Computer Tape

Almost two decades after being recorded, h M A S unreleased album of lost recordings - Fear God Honour The King - issued on vinyl (or any format) for the first time! Remastered and remixed by Mikey Young and Ben Crothers.

Formed in the early '90s amongst the small town confines on the NW coast of Tasmania, Ben Crothers and Duncan Robinson found a new beginning in the music handed down from Ben?s older sister. Anything that came from reading NME and Select got them buying and listening to everything from Pixies, They Might Be Giants and Devo to XTC, Buzzcocks, Wire and Black Sabbath, not forgetting Tlot Tlot.

In the time since its recording in 1997, the original master tapes have been lost and this single attempt at a mix is all that remains. In a way this makes Fear God Honour The King exactly like everything h M A S had always done before - spontaneous but flawed, pointless but essential.

SPRAY PAINT / EXEK - Australian tour split 7"
Release date: 12th June
Limited to 400 copies.

Australian tour 7" featuring TWO previously unreleased tracks by our favourite Texans, Spray Paint, plus the vinyl debut of new Melbourne outfit EXEK, with the brooding Lynchian mysticism of new song, "The Theme From Judge Judy". When we first threw the EXEK cassette into the player late last year, we were stunned by the dub-heavy bleakness, which continues here with a track that fits perfectly alongside Spray Paint's art punk weirdness.

EXEK "Replicate" (from the cassette, which Noisey called "ambient and synthy post punk not unlike PiL, Swell Maps or Beak.")

SEWERS - Weight LP
Release date: June 29th
Limited to 300 copies.

Long awaited follow up to Hoisted displays a maturity to songwriting "who knew" It's possible this even crosses over into "life", as these Brisbane miscreants cross the pond to take on the challenge only a USA tour can pose. Witness Sewers "anti-party rock" for yourself, July 2015. Tour dates to follow. Preview track soon.

"Chain of Command" is a compact and gutsy little number that doesn't try so hard to drag its knuckles, it actually creates some weird spaces with post-punk chop-chop and some psycho-delic guitar clouds. Shows some progression, which I dig, as I felt they were going in circles on their LP. "Life's A Boar" is a terrible play on words (that makes me want to force a Bushpig reference in) but a decent tune that fits the military-themed baggage on the sleeve - like Venom P. Stinger without the drumming, very lean and mean, which is a good look for them. Their best stuff right here. - Terminal Boredom
