Hung on to a 50 cent copy of On by Off Broadway for a long while, just for "Stay in Time".

Eventually just threw it out.

1. Beach Boys
1. Velvets

Pearls Before Swine
Public Enemy
Big Star

I guess ?  Pretty difficult.

I feel like I'm listing both PE and Big Star on the strength of a pretty slim body of work (Big Star as a function of available recordings, Public Enemy as a function of an incredibly strong but relatively brief run) and with that it's tough to put them in over say, a long and consistently great band like the Byrds (or to decide that I prefer the three Big Star records to the three primary Love albums, f'rinstance).

Tough to shake the idea that I'm forgetting something.

Also, do I really like PBS that much (guess so) ?

Top 2 are pretty easy, though.

Dexys are so fucking great.

Dig their post-Searching pre-Too-Rye work on Projected Passion Revue if you haven't already.

The Dexys who got bounced after that first album for not acting boho gypsy enough or some such bullshit shitted out at least one good tune in The Bureau, too:

That's terrific.

Thanks, hadn't heard it before.

The Only Ones - Special View - Another Girl

This is insane.

Every song on that record is terrific, ihomo.

"Another Girl..." is a million miles ahead of the rest of the record, however you feel about it as a whole.

However great you might think "Another Girl" is the record as a whole would be worth owning without it.

Hugely worthwhile but lesser documented stage of Rowland's "development".

Unrelated, just put on the Electric Angels record feat. the guy from Candy who wrote the songs.

Not nearly as good as Candy, unfortunately.  Guess Kyle Vincent had more to do with whatever that band had than I had figgered.

Sorry, the Ebay guy who was selling the record is offering refunds - not the Kitten Charmer guy.

Kitten Charmer took money from independents for the CRIME LP and zero product has shown up. Has anyone seen this Lp physically? Dude on eBay has sold 18 copes it appears. Really sucks when independents get screwed. It happened to my label and forced me out of the record world.

Looks like this dude is just selling hopes and dreams for right now. In the description it reads, "PLEASE NOTE: This is a presale. The official release date for this album is January 7, 2014. All orders will ship to arrive around this date however on occasion there are release delays. If this happens all winning bidders will be notified."

I hope this LP comes out soon though!

He's offering refunds now.
