One member was from New Jersey and he used to spend time here. He was down with the Mutha Records/Brighton Bar/Hot Dog House folks. Pretty sure he was in the band Duh at some point. His name will come to me.....

Arthur Lee actually wrote the song. He let the Sons Of Adam record it first. I guess that makes it a cover.

There was a Scottish band called the Hedgehogs. No official releases I've ever seen, maybe they did a demo?? But they were kicking around, don't recall years active. I'll have to dig thru some old zines to see if I come across something.

Was a KISS fan growing up. My brother was Gene for Halloween in '77. Fond memories of listening to their records. Listen to "Rocket Ride" or "Deuce" or "I Stole Your Love" And tell me those songs suck. You can't.

KISS wanted to be the biggest band in the world which is probably why they distanced themselves from the glitter rock scene. They are very influenced by it however. Their stage show was inspired by the Magic Tramps (Warhol's glitter boys) and of course the Dolls who were the biggest draw at that time. Punks tend to hate Gene Simmons but the guy never hid his intentions, like them or not.
