How many copies of The Wall do you think he has?

How many copies of Whipped Cream & Other Delights?!

How many suicide notes, never read, tucked inside copies of The Sound Of Music?

The first few Clock DVA albums are pretty great. For what it's worth, the first OMD record is scrappier and more adventurous than the bulk of their output, and I like it a lot. John Foxx's Metamatic. DOME (B. Gilbert and G. Lewis from Wire). KAS Product, Ruth, Charles De Goal (all Frenchies). Others.

Suicide. Jeez.

John Foxx, Metamatic. Solid first solo rec from U-vox frontguy. Sterile and strange.
One of my favorite records! Remember when tunes from "Metamatic" were on the radio in 1980. Just started my Devo worship and then this strange cold music came and blew my mind.

Yeah! The production is incredible. Cold, hollow, antiseptic. Same guy produced a Blaine L. Reininger solo record a couple years later, which I haven't heard but would like to.

Menahem Golan (co-founder of Cannon Films) is dead. I may end up seeing if I can form a Cannon marathon on Netflix tomorrow.

Damn. Seeing his name at the beginning of a film was almost always a sign that a good time was on the way. RIP. Gonna watch Cobra now.

Gets the job done!

Current 93, Dog's Blood Rising. It's excessive, and I like it. I hear tongue-in-cheek, centripetal, cod-pagan, Bad-Old-Albion tomfoolery, and I don't mind that. Even if it's 100% genuine, the sentiment kinda takes a backseat to the soundscaping as far as I'm concerned.

Suicide Commandos - Kidnapped. This after a dream in which I recounted the story of being hauled into the dean's office, where he accused me of showing my boobs to his dog. The last thing I remember was being allowed to take a look "inside my subconscious". There were, among other things, a genie lamp tattooed with the logo "Don't Bother" and Jimmy Hoffa in a deck chair.

I don't make this shit up! (Well, actually I do.)
