haven't listened to Sebadoh - III since I bought it, prolly in 1991
this thread would be the only reason to listen to it again , with reluctance .....
but you never know

Oh well I've changed my mind might aswell do this one too, if you thought 1990 was bad 1991 is worse
especially as i don't really appreciate 'Loveless' by the MBV
leaves me with

Action swingers-action swingers
Cows-Peacetika
De la Soul-De la Soul is dead
Teenage Fanclub-Bandwagonesque

don't worry 1992 will ( maybe ) appear as soon as the other 2 threads have disappeared in the deep depth of terminal threads

I'm not defending anybody either , but i like Tveye77 posts they're often very funny .

I love how specific this thread is. Why 1990 of all years? I can't think of a single record I like from 1990, but I'm sure there are a few.
yes well i was going to go through each year until 2000 but its too long too much info all over the place , useless in other words
a little like internet really.

I find it more interesting when you leave a bit of time to realise which lp's are really good, you know ,once a few years have gone by.
I think nostalgia should be eliminated in this thread I.e. a personel memory tied to a record , if thats possible.
I have less records & less knowledge of records than most people on this board and even with its good sides & bad sides
the addition of termbo tastes makes it a good place to make this sought of list & i will definetly use it to discover new music.
Here's the best lp's i own from that year and regularly listen to ,   I know  there a loads which are  better , I just dont own them.

Bailter Space  Tanker
Cows effete & impudent snob
Teenage Fanclub a Catholic education
Sonic Youth Goo
Bastro Sing like a troubled beast

The Residents , but I dont know the best starting point.
You're in good hands. I'm a huge Residents fan.
Start with Duck Stab, if that doesn't scare you off, go to Third Reich And Roll then Meet The Residents next, then Fingerprince, The Commercial Album should be next, followed by Eskimo, then Diskomo, then Tales Of Two Cities.

I wasn't really asking where to start , just pointing out their  catalogue of at least one output every year dating from the early 70's, must be hugest one out there.

Daisy Chainsaw - Eleventeen  1992 and really good I've been wanting to post a new topic about best bands from 1990 to 2000
on a yearly bases , to see what I missed , & i probably  will in week or two (cos I need to take my time) this one would be in my top 10 list for 1992.
Reading White Bicycle  by Joe Boyd which is really good too.
