^ Thank you! Sold my copy for ~$35 last summer and have regretted it ever since.

V/A, Chains & Black Exhaust compilation - very solid funk/psych compilation that starts strong and kinda loses its steam towards the end. Still great sunny weather/BBQ tunes. Whenever I listen, I end up looping the Doug Anderson track ("Mama, Here Comes the Preacher"). I'd just about kill for his "I Won't Cry (I'll Just Laugh Myself to Death)" b/w "Hey Mama, Here Comes the Preacher" 45.

The 7" is still available direct from Quemada, too: http://quemadarecords.blogspot.com/p/quemada-store.html

Lookin' forward to an LP from these guys.

Finally grabbed a copy of this today. Great record.

V/A, Ground Zero Hardcore NYC 2013 LP compilation - Solid all the way through. Stand-out track is the Deformity one for me, but I also really liked the tracks by Perdition and Black Boot. Never heard of any of those guys before this. Still not feeling Goosebumps, and Crazy Spirit sorta phoned it in here. An unlisted Hank Wood and the Hammerheads track at the end is a nice touch.

Birds of Maya, Celebration LP - A-side ("Picnic") is among my favorite things I've ever heard by the band. B-side ("BBQ") heavily features harmonica, which isn't really my thing, but it works OK. Going to get a lot of play this summer.

Weed, Gun Control EP: http://weed.bandcamp.com/album/gun-control-ep / Cascadia, Level Trust EP: http://cascadia.bandcamp.com/album/level-trust-ep - a coupla 90's indebted rockers from Vancouver (I think). Cascadia's a little more dreamy, Weed's a little more anthemic, both are drenched in reverb. Sounds good to these ears. Apparently they're touring together this summer and hitting Madison, something to look forward to.

Two new songs by the Native Cats: http://www.ridethesnakerecords.com/bark/native-cats-dallas/

I'm such a nerd for anything by this band. I like both, but I especially like "Cavalier."

Are any US distros getting the new Good Throb 7" in? The self-titled one has gotten a lot of table time so I'm obviously stoked for some new material.

Listen here: http://goodthrob.bandcamp.com/album/culture-vulture-7

They also contributed two songs to this pretty killer compilation: http://notnormaltapes.bandcamp.com/album/nnt-020-welcome-to-2013

Venom P. Stinger Meet My Friend Venom (No Master's Voice)

Been huntin' one of these for a while, but kinda gave up after not seeing one for months. Nice score.

The Young, Voyagers of Legend - one of the better "guitar rock" albums in the past few years to these ears. Really enjoyed last year's Dub Egg, too.

Gonna see ya on 4/5 and 4/7.

The Rathskeller is weird because it's in a student union and it's family-friendly, got lots of older folks and the occasional homeless guy wandering through. So the crowds can be a bit different than what touring bands are used to. But whatever, Balaclavas came through there last spring and ruled. I'm lookin' forward to it, I think it's gonna be a good one.
