Music Shit / Re: The "Why isn't this reissued on vinyl thread?" Part 2

Reactors "World War 4" LP.  Saw an original go on eBay in VG condition go for $100 Buy It Now within 24 hours of it being listed.  Flex says it's a 6/10 and more polished than the 7" that has been repressed in recent years.  Would love to hear the LP though.

Also other So Cal female vocal punk like Alley Cats/Zarkons (except for 2nd Zarkons LP), Red Scare, Mood Of Defiance...all would be cool to see reissued I'd think.

Where do you start with Jade Warrior - they've quite a few LPs. In fact I looked at a recent vinyl reissue only today. What LPs do you particularly rate for the other bands you listed?

Honestly with Jade Warrior I'm pretty much mainly interested in their early/vocal stuff...the three LP's on Vertigo are all good and I'd rate "Last Autumn's Dream" best with the s/t close behind.  I also listen to both of those far more frequently than the July LP...There's two archival releases "Eclipse" and "Fifth Element" that are pretty good too.  I haven't heard the recent "Now" album that gets favorable reviews-it's got Glyn Havard on vocals again, who got they boot when they signed to Island with Steve Winwood's backing and went in a more new age/all instrumental style.  The 4 Island LPs are all decent, but my attention kind of wanes and I think they're still worth picking up if they're cheap.  "Way of the Sun" is probably my favorite of those.

Twenty Sixty-Six-"Reflections"

Captain Beyond-s/t ("Sufficiently Breathless" is okay, but kinda acoustic/Latin influenced and pales to the interstellar tapestry of the first LP)

Beggar's Opera-s/t, "Waters Of Change," and then lesser priority to "Pathfinder" (first is super energetic, organ-driven, and classical ripoff awesomeness, second is more subdued and has a ton of mellotron, third is kinda McCartney-ish in places and has a hilarious prog cover of "McArthur Park."  Later LP's sound like an entirely different band due to personnel)

Traffic Sound-s/t (aka the "pink album" or "Tibet's Suzettes"), followed by "Virgin" and "Lux" (last of the three is kind of rough sound)

Far East Family Band-"Parallel World"

Eloy-"Ocean" and "Silent Cries and Mighty Echoes" and to a lesser degree earlier albums "Inside" and "Floating"

AB Kingdom Come-"Galactic Zoo Dossier" is pretty frightening in spots and truly fulfills the promise of the Crazy World stuff, imho.  "Journey" is awesome too, but heavy on a 70's drum machine that give it a cool vibe.

Oh yeah, both LP's by Gracious! are awesome too for heavy symphonic prog with lots of mellotron.

Finally joining Termbo to comment on a prog post?  Hmm...

Some good ones:

Khan
Twenty Sixty-Six
Captain Beyond
Jade Warrior
Beggar's Opera
Traffic Sound
Far East Family Band
Eloy
Igra Staklenih Perli
Arthur Brown's Kingdom Come

Oh yeah, and for all of the VDGG and Gentle Giant love, I always thought of Gnidrolog as the in-between of the two: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2sbxCDc7QDQ
