As I said, I actually really enjoy the podcasts but his arsekissing can be a bit distracting at times, that's it. I'm not having sleepless nights about it or anything. He's had some great guests with some great anecdotes. Just wish he'd turn down the over-friendliness at times. Those early Fucked Up 7"s are great and "Hidden World" has some great stuff. After that? No interest at all.
Been listening to a lot of the Turned Out A Punk podcasts that Damian does. Enjoy them but, damn, he is a real arsekisser, to the point of sychophancy. Everyone is amazing/transcendental/legendary. He wants to be everybody's pal. And don't get me started on the fucking Vans sponsorship.
"This episode is a big one, huge personal influence for me, it doesn't get much bigger than Jim Holbel from Dissonance". Yes, he goes overboard with the hype.
Sure, he is a butt kisser, but who cares? He gets good stories out of those old farts. Does he interject too many boring personal anecdotes about seeing pennywise back in 1996 at Warped Tour. Certainly. Is there anything wrong with wanting to make friends? Yes... I mean no. He is a nice guy. Big whoop.
Are there worse sponsorships than Vans? NO. Vans is by far the most oppressive fascist corporate entity ever.
Look, it is 2018. read some xeroxed fanzine in an edition of 32 if you insist, but when I'm cleaning my basement or mowing the lawn sweet-ass Damian and his pop-punk buddy talk gets me through the drudgery.
Big D is doin' it. Respect.
Fuck me, that drumming video! This is great news and I?ve only skimmed through a couple of tracks so far. As with the recent one-time/one-off Boss Tuneage LP tho (which infuriatingly I missed) there?s no plan for even a CD release of this stuff let alone vinyl. Start lobbying.....:
Although Burning In Water does make it to my top 30 (sad capitulation to recent FB meme......) I never heard the follow up - assuming it?s not as stellar as BIW? But still essential?
I was going to say there probably is not enough interest for vinyl of that but...this just popped up in my feedQuoteMoving Targets

Moving Targets European Tour 2018
Yves on bass, Emilien on drums
Who wants to book this tour?
Burning In Water played in it's entirety onstage with couple of handsome badasses.

Ken Chambers of Moving Targets has put all of his recorded odds and ends on Bandcamp starting with this first recording under the name Iron Cross (!) at 15 and sez they did a VOM cover (!!)...Raw, but you can sense his already mature musical aesthetic here...

I'm a yuge Moving Targets fan and put Burning in Water in a tentative top ten even...Never saw them but did catch Bullet Lavolta when Chambers was still with them and just hearing his backup vox had me pining for MT...

Hmmmm..............
Gonna have to say "Never Mind The Bullocks..."
I was 12 and thought the dense fidelity and absurd vocals were weird but they
appealed to the KISS fan that I was at the time.
Don't know how many here will care, but the new Hot Snakes is the best it could possibly be, complete with 5:45-esque melodica on the title track. Some of Froberg's lyrics leave a lot to be desired (just like obits...), but his delivery is better than any of his previous output. The lyrics on the first track are idiotic and possibly borrowed from OFF or something equally mundanely terrible, but the way he sings out some notes is a welcome addition to the formula. Regardless, it's an inspired return and Reis brought the riffs, especially on that first song.Fucking missed them a few weeks ago here in Glasgow. Didn't even know they were playing til my next door neighbour told me after the fact. Last time I saw them was 12 or so years ago and they were great. Even threw in a DLJ track ("Bullet Train To Vegas", I think).
Beyond excited to finally catch them soon, anyone going to the Nashville gig? I was born just too late to see that tour they did with Lost Sounds, and I don't think they ever came to the south other than that.
Anyone wanna volunteer to order the CD from Japan and upload it to YouTube so the rest of us poor bastards can listen to it.I just got it on Soulseek a minute or two ago.
A comp. of the complete Huvudtv?tt/Headcleaners recordings would be great.
