I would love to walk around and proclaim the Yuzo Iwata record as one of my favorites of the year so far, but I'M STILL WAITING ON MY GODDAMN RECORD.

In addition to the obligatory Hank Wood and Warm Bodies LPs:

Hospice tape
ISS 7"
Kaleidoscope 7" (Scorched Earth song of the year)
DJ Taye - Still Trippin 2LP
Preening - Greasetrap Frisbee 7"
TWINS LP

Good list. That X-20 / Sub Dom split CS is really excellent too. Maybe my favorite thing so far this year, actually.

Really like the Subdom 7" too

I didn't know there was a Subdom 7", but went on Discogs and there it is.  I'll have to try to get a hold of a copy.

Listening to this Patois Counselors LP.  I wasn't too blown away by them before, but I'm really enjoying this.  It makes me wish the more recent Intelligence records were as lo-fi and compressed as the early ones, because they'd sound a lot like this.

Can you shelf or box them in your basement still?  I don't think dust would be a huge issue if the tops aren't exposed -- just make sure they're covered from the air above.  I'd be much more worried about water / humidity damage, but that depends on where you live.

So you do not take PayPal? Thanks.

This was probably written in a genuine voice, but I read it laughing at how it sounds sarcastic. "FINE I'LL MAIL CASH THANKS."

Don Howland - The Land Beyond the Mountains

I've never heard his solo stuff, but I'm enjoying it in the same sense that I enjoy Greg Cartwright's solo "Live at the Circle A" record.  Just a different approach from someone you've come to expect a certain sound from.  Makes me want to go back and listen to Bassholes records that I'm less familiar with.

New Releases For Sale/Distro Updates / Spits I
« on: June 14, 2018, 08:39:49 AM »
In case you never bought the first Spits record (I hadn't and I own all the others including 4 different copies of IV), Slovenly just repressed 100 of them on maroon vinyl.  They're up here:

this is awesome

agreed

I love how it's categorized as "comedy" on YouTube.

But seriously -- a huge thank you to whoever filmed and uploaded this.

Took me pestering the shit out of dude to get mine.

Yeah, I've emailed and messaged him on here, but... nothing. Such a great label should have better distro.

Has anyone ordered fairly recently and not received? I ordered  May 10th and nothing has come...

Still looking for a clear vinyl version -- if anyone has an extra one, holler.

Cave -  Hunt Like Devil / Jamz LP

Those early Permanent Records releases were solid. I love the California Raisins side of that one.

For the record, new lavender flu is out July 6 and is called mow the glass. I have no idea what to expect. If I had to guess, it will probably sound like the Grateful Dead

From the description, it sure sounds like that, huh.

I'm assuming I'm far, far too late for clear vinyl.  Did anyone grab two and want to let go of one?

JJ Doll was awesome, wish they stuck around. Same with Ivy, that LP still fuckin smokes. Gave it another listen for the first time in forever and was still blown away by how sick it is. Kaleidoscope is awesome too of course but I'm not feeling Sister Anne

I still listen to that Ivy LP at least once every couple of weeks. SO good.
