Been listening to Hurdy Gurdy Man for the past couple days wondering why the hell I've never heard this album.  Heard the title track numerous times, but guess I never questioned it's origin.  The drums are too fucking good.

I don't know if I've said this already or not, but I can't help but think of WWF when I think of Black Flag now.  Randy Savage vs Ric Flair vs Ed McMahon.  The press email blasts are like the old backstage on-camera monologues before fights.

New eastlink isn't clicking with me. Really wanted to like it but on the first couple spins I think it could have been so much more.

Yeah... I'm kind of feeling the same way.  I was hoping it'd be louder like "Overtime".  The drawn out instrumentals don't do a whole lot for me that other bands haven't.  I thought maybe I just needed to see them live to appreciate it more.  Definitely some very talented dudes making music together.

Liking this new Todd Congelliere release "Wrong Side".  I don't always get down with his stuff in any of the projects he's been involved with, but this one is all demos apparently -- basically, grittier and not overanalyzed.  I wanna say at times it reminds me of Swell Maps?  Plus, I'll take demos over studio shit any day.
