Okay... so, it’s obvious and almost goes without saying at this point, but this new Kaleidoscope album is fucking solid. So much hard work and true thought put into it down to the artwork and booklet. Way to go dudes. You’re making the realest, meaningful shit I can get my hands on today.

Martin Rev - Clouds of Glory

Saw that this is getting the reissue treatment, so I pulled it out again to re-listen. It's great of course, and probably the last solo record he did that I really like. Seems to float a bit more than his first album.

I’ll have to listen to it again too. Been a while. Who’s reissuing it this time around?

Was listening to Ryan Rousseau’s solo stuff for the first time in a really long time. I have a copy of the Discover LP, but only have mp3s of the Hello! Mr. Cactus Man tape. I was excited to find that I still like them a lot. A lot of it feels like sketches to be developed, but really weird and enjoyable.

I will echo that. Todd is one of the best human beings I know, and while you may not agree with the subject matter Razorcake chooses to cover, it’s done super earnestly and with a whole lot of heart. And not a lot of money.

Didn't realize til now that the Murderer LP has been out for almost a month (surprised they didn't have it at the Hammerheads show I just saw.) Also, surprised no one mentioned it yet.  Judging from a digital listen, it sounds really cool.  Definitely more conceptual and varied than the Hammerheads.  The vocals aren't in the typical Hank style, I'm not sure who is singing some of the time, all three members contribute vocals.  Looking forward to getting a physical copy, Toxic State releases are always improved with a lyric sheet and the killer artwork.

I was of the understanding that all three of them sang at the same time. The album is really cool, very dream-like in a way.

All the marionette visuals they did for it too are really cool.
