Nope, love "Kokomo".

Can't fucking stand their version of "Rock & Roll Music".

Another Termbo controversery?! Make the case for 'Kokomo'? What next, Tears For Fears? Oh, hang on...(Whet Bull posts some great stuff though). SAW rule for '80's cheese. At least for Mel & Kim /Divine / Dead Or Alive. I am not a gay man.

Fourth disc of the Good Vibrations box set.

"Sail On Sailor" straight through to "Kokomo", only one bum track.

Let me guess...'Kokomo'?!
(horrible)

NP The Sailors 'Guilty Pleasure Blues' (Aarght! 2011). Just heard. Real catchy. Nice! / Ich Bin Ein Esel 4-track E.P. on Swasbuckling Hobo 7". 'Man  Punches Shark' and 'Holy Grail' are killer. Reissue of the rest of the stuff on the full length CD-R please.

I just ordered a copy of the CD version from Amazon UK. Might be as good as it gets - Midheaven don' t even list the LP version as up-coming:

My current fave is 'The Night Comes In' from 'The Backward Path' (2012). Just beautiful. Anyone who hasn't checked this out should really lend an ear. Cool video too.:

This is my favorite too. The Backward Path in total is my favorite Melchior recording...
Yep. Didn't think anything would supplant 'Christmas For The Crows' for me, but I think this is Dan's pinnacle (so far!). Growing in stature with each play.

"... a broken mirror held by a broken hand."

Beautiful description, Eric. I'll remember that one. Makes me think of 'Sister Lovers' / 'Sherbet', 'Oar', 'Astral Weeks', 'Cleaning The Mirror', 'Photograph Burns' et al. For all the fucked up children of this world, as (i think) Spacemen 3 put it...

Thanks for the kind words. Outside of the US, I'm not sure which shops/mail orders are receiving our records in Europe. Let me see if I can get something going in the UK/get an answer for you. I want to get our records over there; shipping individual records to Europe is outrageously expensive now.

Thanks for the PM. I'm on Volcanic Tongue's mailing list so I'll know if they get copies. Think it'll be up their street (they ain't all Jandek / Richard Youngs / Charalmbides / free jazz / noise / and psych-folk, they appreciate the wilder side of punk and r'n'r too! They carry a lot of good stuff, though they (usually) ain't cheap and I imagine they'll charge approx 20 UK Pounds (around $32USD) for a copy of this, inc postage. Not much cheaper than getting it direct from you, right? But I'll have to wait and see...I'm getting a copy whatever. Anything in the 'Like Flies On Sherbet' zone is a must for me.

UK distro for this? (Had to get yer fine Axemen LP from Germany, couldn't locate a single copy for sale in this disintegrating hell-hole they used to call GREAT Britain).

Danger records has some really cool stuff in the pipe like this comp:

cover sucks ass though

Cover looks pretty good to me. What sorta sleeve were you expecting on a punk comp?

The Saints - Know Your Product
Such a great album, musically, but also lyrically the thing is spot on and it made me think that one of the problems with politics in punk, as I see it, as the very specific political topics of songs in the 90's, like "this song is about the mass rape that is occurs in Bosnia" kinda thing, which is hard to relate to personally, for a lot of people. Lyrics like these guys wrote are totally political, and personal, and they're stated in a way that pretty much anyone can relate to, whether their family ended up in a concentration camp or not. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe that's dumb, but that's what I was thinking.

Totally. That's the absolute blueprint on how you make "political" lyrics timeless and relatable. So much truth in the lyrics, sung so convincingly. Better than any punk record that came after it. A top 3/5/10 whatever LP for me.

"All Times Through Paradise" CD box set is utterly perfect, musically and remastering wise. Ed Kuepper remastered it himself and the power that comes through blows most everything else I've ever heard away. (Exceptions may be the Mute Grey Area's Buzzcocks "Times Up" & "Spiral Scratch" and "Terminal Tower" / "Modern Dance"-era Pere Ubu remasters.) . Don't tell me CD's sound crap if you haven't heard this.

Of course, I would love to be proven wrong/click youtube links I'm unfamiliar with

You are correct, of course. Runaways fab too. Love Girls At Our Best also, but just Judy on vox is female, right? Shop Assistants aside from David Keegan? Dolly Mixture? Fanny? (disappointed in what I've heard so far, but will need to give that Rhino Handmade box another try. Got bored and gave up first time.)

Good on you, MM. Sounds like fairer fucking shipping costs than from the US to the EU these days. Over $12 (if we're lucky) to send 2 fucking 7"-ers from the States to the EU. So stop moaning yankees.

FUCK THE USPS.
