TIMMY VULGAR'S GENETIC ARMAGEDDON- Songs From The Other Side Of The Swamp LP

We're kicking things off with an album from TIMMY VULGAR'S GENETIC ARMADGEDDON. Vulgar (Human Eye/Clone Defects/Timmy's Organism mastermind) wrote, recorded and played all the instruments on ?Music From The Other Side Of The Swamp?, a 15 song exploration into the deepest crevices of his chromed cranium. An acutely personal and raw album showcasing elements of his previous projects while adding some new motifs to his arsenal. Psychedelic crooners, kraut influenced instrumentals, and guitar heavy rockers all processed through Timmy?s patented caveman via space alien filter. The tracks flow in and out of each other, covered in broken synthesizers and feedback, creating a lurching, breathing, late night masterpiece. This is not the kind of album one casually listens to. This requires complete submergence. It?s exactly what we had in mind when we came up with MIND MELD and he?s setting a high-water mark right from the get go. Turn down the lights, turn on, and turn up your stereo because it?s time to meld minds with Timmy Vulgar.

PREDATOR- No Face 7"
Those sneaky Predator boys are back dropping records under the radar again. This time the culprit is the No Face 7″ they released in late July on Total Punk, a Florida label the band has worked with in the past and who also has released records for Atlanta fam GG King and Nag.

The title track is the only snippet of the record available online and thank the blessed punk gods it?s exactly what I expected. All the bleary-eyed, skull shot, scrappy goodness of Predator that keeps me up at night clicks into place after a space-echoed chant announces the band?s identity and intentions.

Over the course of two minutes a slightly careening melody combines with vocalist and songwriter Brannon Greene?s innermost fears. The track serves as a reminder that the best Predator songs are always laid out in bold face, but with a trembling hand. Throughout the track, Greene illustrates an introverted existence and the bitterly addictive drug of isolation, balanced with a repressed energy which can no longer be restrained. - Immersive Atlanta

yo bring me predator 7"s when you come to Atlanta
for sure. Let me know how many.

Both of these are out now and up on the site.  Due to the rising production costs of 7"s and the all the labor involved in handstamping 500 covers we are doing what most other labels have already done and will be charging $6 for these and all future Total Punk 7" releases. However, for today only we will be selling both new singles for $5 a pop.

New reviews up on Audio Ammunition.  Brand new Predator and Violence Creeps 7"s out next Tuesday on Total Punk

Black Panties ? Dirt From The Mop 7? (Total Punk)

Black Panties play 100% bonafide fuzzed up, blown out, torn down punk rock that?s reminiscent of first album era Reatards.  I don?t know where this band is from but wherever it is, wherever they gather to record or to consume sustenance I fear for their neighbors or whatever poor patron happens to be next to them when they finally blow.  Rest assured that it will happen too. It may not be tomorrow or next week but it will happen and when it does they will try to take as many innocents as they possibly can with them.  Back to whatever pit of hellfire damnation they clawed their way out of. - JC

Counter Intuits ? Vietnamese Lighter 7? (Total Punk)

If you want to get somewhat of a feel of this record, try to imagine what it would sound like if Jonathan Richmond, Lou Reed and Mike Hudson got together in the basement of an old burned out house.  Now also try to think of what it would sound like if these guys started playing instruments that were partially burned in that same fire and recorded that session.  Now you?ve got a faint scent of what the Avant fractured pop Counter Intuits bring on this here new 7?.  It?s disdainful, it?s contemptuous, its Total Punk! - JC

Predator ? No Face 7? (Total Punk)

Predator are a band from Atlanta GA who play a mean, tough, blunt force trauma to the face style of punk rock which reminds me a little of NJ?s Wretched Ones in that way. You can?t put easy prefixes like ?pop? or ?post? in front of Predator's description and try to put them in a can.  They?re just simply a punk band and that?s enough when done right. The two songs on this here 7? fortify my above testimony to this band.  The B-side has a slight new wave feel to it but rest assured it will still send your teeth down your throat quite easily. - JC

RIK & The Pigs ? A Child?s Gator LP (Total Punk)

Well now this is quite impressive!  Olympia Washington?s Rik & the Pigs have come a long way.  They?re going for a 70?s Aussie sound like The Saints, X, Chosen Few types but scrappier and they?re pulling it!  The production on this LP is the best I?ve heard on any Pigs record so far. Not to say it?s polished or anything but this new clearer sound suits the band perfectly.  The guitars are hook filled and set to full buzzsaw mode and the vocals radiate desperation and madness!  This one?s a stunner kids! - JC

Violence Creeps ? Nephew Melting 7? (Total Punk)

Another punk band moaning and talking smack about good people. The first song and title track is apparently about Mathew Melton of Warm Soda/Bare Wires fame. You know that long, kindly mustachioed fellow that sings sweet songs with titles like ?Waiting For Your Call? and ?Young
Reckless Hearts?. How can you hate a guy like that, am I right?  The B-Side, a song called ?Ford Go Bikes? is calling out all the monetarily successful non-cool Oakland hipsters that have ruined the landscape with their condos and fancy speak.  I?ve been told if you can?t beat ?em, join ?em.  I don?t know if that?s true but an alternative to that is writing hate songs like these about them and admittedly this is way more fun for everyone. Except for maybe the hipstes but everyone knows they are a cold unfeeling sort devoid of any real sentiment.  - JC

We got these and the Terminal Stupid LP in from Belgian Waffles. Helping them with American distribution as well so any stores needing get in touch

A brand new LP from our friend at BELGIAN WAFFLE and their crowning achievement so far. SIC is mostly remembered as an early 80's Belgian minimal synth project that put out a few singles, but before that they a crude smash and bash punk group who luckily left behind this document to their awesomeness. 19 tracks recorded in their attic to a reel to reel in 1977 and seeing the light of day for the first time now.  Foregoing bass for a synth the songs are raw, simplistic, and downright nasty. Micheline has an incredible gravely growl that was made for punk and sets this this whole record right over the top.
