wtf is clowning on bitches

Fuck. That's what the forum auto-edits to when you type in a certain made up microgenre of music, which was deemed too stupid sounding Even for Terminal Boredom. I forgot it did that.  I have no clue what clowning on bitches actually references or if it was ever funny.

Haven't read this whole thread but I think enough time has gone by where it would be cool to do a nuggets style comp of the lo-fi/garage/CLOWNING ON BITCHES/weirdpunk explosion of roughly 2002-2009.

I use nuggets as a reference instead of KBD or Bloodstains only because a lot of the gems aren't necessarily rare or valuable, they just came out in a deluge of about a billion other singles. In fact I can think of about an albums worth just off the top of my head!
Stop playing- that shit is trickling down to the dollar bins. You could cobble your own og versions for less than you would pay for a modern day $19.99 comp. Besides, the 8-20 year-old record window is the nether regions- ain't nobody got time for that. Shit will sound good again around 2030.

You want to slap together a soundcloud mix, fine but suggesting that someone comp on vinyl readily available records from 10 years ago is a money pit.

Like I said, they aren't particularly valuable right now, there's just too fucking many of them for the average person to sift through. But there really are great tunes and a lot of creativity there.
Also the first Nuggets came out like 4 years after the time period it was documenting. How long do we have to keep fucking mining the 60s-80s for every last drop?

No jazz, too easy!

No jazz or rock'nroll - too easy

rock'n'roll was mainly a singles format until much later.

This is why I thought it would be a fun challenge. Charlie Feathers had a pretty solid LP somewhere right?

How does the Exploited thread get pop punked but I gotta see the fuckin Misfits (who actually ARE pop punk) in these hallowed pages? The ultimate jock band, punk for people who don't like punk.

Complete Disorder. Now moving on.

I actually remember reading somewhere that Chaotic Dischord formed as a joke as a reaction to bands like Disorder and Chaos UK being signed to Riot City. Naturally they were subsequently signed to Riot City and became one of their top selling bands
