It's a fantastic film. Paddy Considine is devastating. Up there with Get Carter as a great British revenge movie. And way more more naturalistic.

An earlier conversation brought me to watch this video again. I'm certainly old enough to remember this coming out. Kenny Rogers sex-face near the beginning is a bit unnerving. MJ's voice/ moments definitely stand out. I guess him and Lionel Richie wrote the songs. This must be the pinnacle of MJ's career—Thriller era, he's totally decked out in....his stuff. Cindy Lauper's voice is awful in this. Maybe it's awful in everything, I'd have to revisit to be sure. Tina Turner is in Mad Max phase. The Boss really rocks his part. There's quite a bit going on, but the song is so bad, I couldn't sit through the entire video.
cyndi lauper can make her voice sound like anything. she is great. anyway, just sayin', nuff about that. also this was after michael got burned by pepsi, i imagine he's fuckin' whacked out on pain medication. def seems pretty weird, and for one of the first times. whatever "weird" means when it comes to that guy, i mean. anyway, here's a great rendition of same song:
