was real jazzed to play a show in chapel hill with tnv in 2009 in my shitty local band. they refused to talk to me or my bandmates, but tom lax was a goddamn sweetie. maybe 20 people came. the band was awesome. sounded just like the records, which i was certain would not be possible in a live setting. they also chainsmoked while they played and look super fucking cool. a++++

josh, motr pub in cincinatti was really cool when we played there with protomartyr. the turnout wasn't great, but the place and folks who worked there were awesome. killer food. killer bar. cool patio. neat area downtown. they even had our record on the jukebox. i don't think a local played, but people from twerps or tweens or a band that sounded like that let us crash at their place. hit them up if you don't get any other bites.

they do, but typically only when a record has a set release date so they have ample time to get a review for the street date. most punk/diy/etc records are released whenever they get back from the pressing plant, so that isn't gonna work for the fork elite nine times out of ten. still, i'm willing to bet a lot of those soundcloud producers who get track (p)reviews don't have publicists. that shit moves so quick though...
