« on: October 27, 2016, 07:27:13 PM »The TNA thing is really interesting to watch unfold. I'm still so confused as to what Billy Corgan is trying to retain with purchasing TNA. From what I gather POP TV is paying them for part of their commercial revenue and they are on a hard to find channel with low ad rates. They have the outside of US distrobution but those companies seem to be not so happy with the arrangements. With the money / connections you think he would just start a new company and try to strike out on his own. There are some talents on the roster and the tape catalog has some value but getting into business with Dixie Carter just seems like poison for what end?
That being said, Global Force has gotten no TV (and most likely never will), barely anyone gets Lucha Underground etc. I think at this point unless someone gets a deal (whether its a new company or existing) with Netflix, Amazon Prime or Hulu the wrestling landscape on TV is going to be more bleak within the next year.
I get Lucha and New Japan on the Sling app for Roku. Watch ROH on their website once a week. That's my indie fix.
I heard in a few weeks there will be a network for the indies similiar to the WWE one.
