We once played a show in Kent with a band called Allergic to Whores. I remember thinking they were great. Kill the Hippies, who obviously rule, also played. It was at this house/venue called the Mantis. It was an insanely great time. I was severely drunk and that show and for years i thought i had mistakenly smoked crack instead of weed, with some punks. I know now that i must have misheard this one punk when he said "don't forget yhe kids in kent who let you smoke their CRACK (grass?) Anyway,I got far too wasted and ended up puking outside, and while I was barfing a car full of teenaged goons did a drive-by egging and nailed me right in the side of my head. Cool moment.
I think I actually played the Mantis twice, and it was an equally thrilling time. Can't remember who my two bands played with but I remember the night/morning ending with my bandmate's diarrhea cutting short, or at least interrupting, a blow job I was getting, which sucks because I get so few of those. Still dug Kent, though.
Two more fine Kent bands from the Sockeye & Kill the Hippies days --

May I respectfully suggest Wombats? I loved the way the singer would wander all over the stage and keep singing. Best cut was on a Bomp sampler.
Mustn't forget Berry Gordys Last Dragon.
i'd of snuck in Lucky Pierre somewhere past 7

Mauro is a really good play by play man. His enunciation, diction, and genernal corniness is pretty classic. Sounds like a throwback.
I wonder what Traci Lords will allow you to ask her. Long ago when I worked at Tower she did an in-store & you weren't allowed to mention porn. It was spun as a promo tour for her techno album.
