Too bad you'll miss L'Etrange Festival which ends on 15th. Great movie festival (horror/SF and anything weird), Jello Biafra curates one night and there's a Stephen Sayadian special with screenings of Cafe Flesh, Nightdreams & other stuff.

There is a concert associated with L'etrange festival

19th Danger + Casio judiciaire + Lebanon Hanover. Le Klub 21h30

Yeah, it's the Desire records reissue that was on the Dark Entries site. I've never heard of Desire Records, but looking at their site, I gather that they've also just reissued, get this, a number of Live Skull albums (...)

They also reissued the double Lp from Monoton Monotonprodukt 07 30Y.

With all the NZ stuff getting the treatment, I'm astounded that no-one has done something with Alastair Galbraith's back catalogue, and in the spirit of the Peter Gutteridge thread, Snapper, and his solo material. I mean, you'd think an album of Galbraith's 7" releases would move alright.
Well i would. I dunno, someone tell me.

What about the Herco pilots two 7"s plus some unreleased tracks or demos if any exist ?

Sorry if it's has been mentioned before :

Labatomy (Jean-Yves Labat) : i"m in Between (1979-80)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrB4iIDA26Q

Was this released as a B-side to something? I know it's not on the M Frog album and I don't think it's on the Labatomy LP.

To my knowledge, it has never been released.

That would be sad. I did find some references to it possibly being on a B-side of another project.

Yes in fact you're right, it has been released under another name :
Frog and roll

The Slits were mentioned.  Doesn't Martin Atkins drum on Cut?

No, I think the drummer was Budgie. Bruce Smith from Pop Group replaced him later.

Pretty obvious ones (though more in a dub vein than reggae), but i saw no mention of them:

- SLITS ...
- POP GROUP --> for example "We are time"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okG8mlvAKT8

Maybe a little bit less  punk
- tracks from FAMILY FODDER
- FLYING LIZARDS

There's definitely some crackle and poppin' going on at the beginning of "Look at the People." Wonder what it was mastered from. Sounds pretty good over-all tho. I just close my eyes and pretend I'm listening to an original.

In fact we first tried to start from the original master tapes. Unfortunately the master tapes were too badly damaged, so we had to
use a rip from an original vinyl copy. These problems were the main reason why the release of the 7" has been delayed for a long time...

We had the same problem for the "Plus instruments" LP reissue.

I'm doing a compilation on cassette (nothing to be issued), that is made of songs sounding like Captain Beefheart or having a strong Magic Band reference... but no covers.
Until now, I only have found a fistful of songs.

So far it's :

- OLIVER "Freezing Cold like an Iceberg" (from "Standing Stone". LP. rec. 1974. UK)
- Brian SANDS "Shoeater" (from "Reheated Chocolate Tangos". 12". 1979. US)
- Andrew KLIMEK "Felt Hammer" (from "Afterbathinginturpentine EP". 7"EP. 1979. US)
- The REFLECTIONS "Clamming up" (from "Slugs and Toads" LP. 1981. UK)
- The CHILD MOLESTERS "Snake-eyed Donkey, Fish-eyed Snake " (from "The Legendary Brown Album" LP. rec. 198?. US)
- RUSTIC HINGE Crystalized Petard (from "Replicas" LP. rec. 1970. UK)

Any ideas or recommendation ?
