Proceeds gathered from this sale will go towards buying LP mailers so I can unload a bunch of LPs on you guys as well. Prices don't include postage. I prefer paypal. All records are NM/NM unless otherwise noted.

I hated this stuff on principle when it blew up a few years ago and now, I'm listening to it for the first time and I see that I was right in hating on it on principle alone.

This doesn't sound like ZOMBI at all.

Music Shit / Length between first practice & first record released

Lots of sweeping generalizations follow:

In the USA, it seems pretty common for bands to start, practice about two months, play some shows and then have a 7" out on whatever label within four or five months (provided the person running the label is a friend, or you are an ex-member of a popular band from before)

In Japan, I've found it's common for anywhere from six months to one year of practicing before the first gig, and anywhere from two to five years before an actual release (aside from a demo) is put out.

What's it like in Europe?

If you ask me, the more relaxed schedule is better, because then you probably have less bands practicing, recording and then breaking up immediately after a record is out (never cool for a label person to deal with), then going on to start a new band.  Is it a lack of dedication in the USA or just a different cultural approach to doing things? 

As in: it doesn't have to be perfect, just do it and when it stops being fun, don't wait it out, get done with it and start something else - as opposed to keeping a band name alive for many years, despite taking a year off here or there because somebody decides they don't have time for the band?

depressing.  I feel much more impotent than usual.  restricted to CDs and cassettes until payday, I think.

a busted motor on a 20+ year old table isn't too uncommon, but it's making me wonder - why now?  why after I brought back a ton of records from vacation and could only listen to two or three?

Useless Eaters?  More like Useless B-side.  I should've saved the 700 yen for beer.  Oops.  When can we expect a TB reviews search iPhone application?  It would come in handy often.

Started this thread because I am starting to itch (not get the itch) from getting tattooed on Saturday.

I didn't see any 75% serious threads (not to discount the taz tattoo, unicorn tattoo, etc) about tattoos, but it's not unreasonable to assume that more than half the posters here have them, as we are mostly white trash.

So, please talk about your totally cool tattoos here.  Every time I have gone in for this latest one, I really wonder what is wrong with me and decide I will never get another tattoo.  Hopefully I'll forget all of that and start on my back next year.
