Non-Music Shit / Re: Slasher/horror moviez

Has anyone here seen "Inside"? Easily one of the scariest slasher/horror films of the decade. I might just add it to the other decade list.

Inside was great!  Along with "them" I thought I'd be seeing a lot more awesome french horror flicks but nothing else really seemed to come out.

Fulci's New York Ripper is sleazy personal fave. His Don't Torture a Duckling is pretty amazing too.

Friday the 13th Part 5 was directed by Danny Steinmann who mostly did porn, it's stupid, underrated and sleazy.

I'll third Maniac. The Savini headshot is a classic.

The Prowler is a little boring but has some great titties and Savini FX.

You know what sucks?  Anything by Lamerto Bava.  Also the new My Bloody Valentine 3D along with any other recent remake.

Lamberto's Demons is great!

Don't Torture a Duckling is actually one of my favorites but I don't feel like it should get lumped in with the slasher flicks.  Demons isn't bad, definitely his only decent movie, but I saw a double feature of A blade in the Dark and something else, they both sucked.

If we're talking all around italian horror I really like cannibal holocaust.  Totally gruesome and the soundtrack really works in some bizarre way.

I'll second Maniac and The Burning, but I'd have to say I prefer Silent Night Deadly Night to Black Christmas.  I love the scene where the girl gets impaled on a set of antlers.

I think I have some back at my mom's house somewhere.  Would be a while before I have a chance to check, though.

Still hasn't arrived in NJ, gotta love the postal system.  I did get my sacred bones order so yesterday wasn't a total letdown!

I shall pull out my copy of "World Downfall" tonight and do a full analysis.  Haven't listened to any of that early earache stuff in ages.  Maybe I'll listen to Old Lady Drivers as well.

As a 14 year old I really dug the cover art to Crumbsucker's "Life of Dreams" and thus it holds a certain sentimental place for me.  The japanese band 324 put out a decent album a few years back, more grind oriented but with definite crossover appeal.  They cover a Crumbsuckers song on another release, hence this post has come full circle.

The 45 I have of this Chopin is somehow credited.  I say somehow because it's in french and the only thing I can make out is Chopin.

I had this dogfish head that was like "barley wine" or something.  It was 20% alcohol, had the consistency of maple syrup and tasted utterly horrible.  But some other ones I've tried are tasty.  My friend imports beer for a living, sometimes I do these beer festivals with him just as an excuse to try all different kinds of beer.  Locally, I really like Farmhouse Ale.  The "porkslap" pale ale is good stuff.  And the people from Lagunitas are really cool.  I heard the brewer got busted from smoking weed in the brewery or something??

This is the only drug from my early experimentation years that I would eagerly do again.  But I'm too old to know where to get this kinda thing anymore, sigh...
