Ад-RA is a newish rather psychedelic graphzine based in Lyon, France, but with an international team (this time the line-up is French, Mexican, Japanese + Australian). Issue #3 is available now, with comics, illustrations, collages and xylography by Äki Späghetti, Xavier 'Rekkaen' Gillard, Olivier Voyou, Mimieux92, Abraham Díaz, Antipathic, Suka Mabuk, Maronasty, Bikesabbath, Lashka, Lia Vé, Ratcharge, Brigade Cynophile, Ryock, Hugues "La Blanche", plus a gorgeous family-friendly cover by Yecatl Peña.
Full size, 40 pages, 5€ + shipping. Riso print + color and B&W photocopies.

Lumpy would be high on my "best live bands of the decade" list. The records are good, some songs are even great IMO. It feels like they were also pretty influential, so if that makes any sense I would include them on a "bands of the decade" list, but not on a "records of the decade" one. Which is of course kind of ridiculous, and reminds me of this:

I didn’t even realize there was much hype behind them, but they deserved any amount they got. They did good things with good influences.
To me "hype" means something artificial, usually thought-out by publicists and their types, with profit in mind. In that regard there was no "hype" at all behind Mystic Inane, just some music fans and non-professional reviewers expressing their genuine interest for a good band.
