Yeah it's Skub on guitar. He's playing without a pick, just his fingers. And Matteo, the bassist, is actually italian. Tom the singer is from England. And Thomas, the drummer, plays/ played in 3/4 of the punk and even metal bands from Lyon, haha. I'm sure they'd be keen to play Italia, plus they're really fun live.

Not sure where/if it's available yet, my partner's organizing a screening of it so we got some kind of advance copy. Maybe ask the director if he'd share it (or organize a screening in your city?), https://www.lesfilmsfurax.com/contact/

This Film Should Not Exist (Country Teasers doc) is a must-see. Not the biggest fan of music documentaries usually, but this is something else, up there with You're Gonna Miss Me & The Unknown Passage IMO. Saw it two days ago and have been listening to CT/The Rebel non-stop since.

Demo Tape / Re: Plasmoïde – another one

Bored & confined so I'll mention there's been this "new" song up for a while :
https://plasmoide.bandcamp.com/track/trente-ans-trop-tard
Title translates to "Thirty years too late" and lyrics are ~ "I opened the door, and it was thirty years too late. I went outside, and it was thirty years too late. I plugged in the radio and it was thirty years too late. I went back home and it was thirty years too late."
Drums are my hands tapping on my tighs, then distorted if I remember correctly.

And that new Special Interest track, too.

Listening to Human Snake by P22. A friend I trust recommended 'em on Facebook. It's really good. I'd never heard of them or the label that put this out. It has one cool HC song, but it's mostly artsy stripped down "angular" post punk, but not annoyingly artsy or annoyingly angular. It's also political and smart.

Yeah this is sick. I knew PPM, their label, for releasing Mika Miko ages ago, but didn't knew it still existed.

Still love that first Mika Miko 7" BTW, https://mikamiko.bandcamp.com/album/mika-miko

Been digging https://viviennestyg.bandcamp.com/ lately, but pretty sure it's been mentioned here already.

Also the new Big Blood (https://dontrustheruin.bandcamp.com/album/do-you-wanna-have-a-skeleton-dream), Echo Os (https://theechoohs.bandcamp.com/album/wild-weeds-album) and Centre Negative (https://centrenegative.bandcamp.com/album/existence-is-buzzy) are all really good IMO.

I remember ordering a handful of 12"s from Matt TTT years ago. They didn't show up. I shot him a couple of messages. He replied to one or two by saying the records would soon be on their way. Of course they never arrived. I remember posts on here addressing people in the same situation by saying: 'everybody knows you shouldn't buy from Tic Tac Totally directly. Being ripped off is one thing, but people saying you're asking for it because you wanted to stock someone's releases is the world upside down. Taking the money and not sending the records out is a scummy thing to do. Fuck those kinda people. They don't last.

Bringing this kinda thing up here is already damaging a label's name. Arguably that's the label's fault, but it's not like one can defend oneself online on a fucking message board. Plus there might not be a good reason for the situation at all. Maybe the guy just fucked up? People do that sometimes.

Having to wait for your records is annoying, but hey, I'm still waiting on those TTT releases and I've got a feeling I won't be seeing those anytime soon whereas those Neck Chop releases of yours will probably show up. Maybe cut him some slack. If the records don't show that's a bummer, but you only order once from a mailorder or label that fucks you over. Anybody with a bit of a brain doing a label or mailorder knows this and will set the record straight.

Sometimes things just go wrong. I once chased Hans Zimmermann for a The Young cdr I bought for months. These were the Myspace days. I reached him in the end and he send me the cd with some goodies, among which a shirt that did not fit me. I thought that was a nice gesture and there was some entertainment in stalking a guy in Texas for a cdr through Myspace. Life is mundane.

Welcome Lammie!
