after my phone farted out the other year i got the CHEAPEST one at&t had to offer, its one of those slide-up samsung phones, and was only like $20. not sure if that was some sort of sale or not but i mean it was very cheap, doesn't have many features aside from the camera thing but i think most phones these days have that anyways.

what a bunch of idiots. sparks is awesome. i drank 6 sparks in one night and it was after an early afternoon where i found some asshole's crack in my stairwell and did that too. it was maybe the coolest day of my life. i've had some great times with SPARKS, it really is a bummer that they're removing the 'spark' of it. they should absolutely change the name of it. who is gonna wanna drink that shit if it doesnt have the energy stuff in it? no one wants "malt liquor plus pop"

holy fuck... i didn't realize j.t. iv was the same guy who made that 'cure for insomnia' movie. we do have a lot of good weirdos in chicago. i would imagine in the next twenty years more of these types of people will be 'found', which is kind of exciting. the rate of these weirdos coming out of hiding/being rediscovered is pretty great.

oh, and the record.. it is GOOD. i wish there were more things that sounded like it. maybe there are, and i just haven't heard them yet. but my first thought after hearing the whole LP was that it was solid all the way through...

seemed decent enough this afternoon, with a bit of the average "spring" weather feel, though there was some pretty fucking insane winds. then i take a nap and eventually go outside to smoke a little bit ago and its some kind of mix of light snow flakes, hail, and still that wind going on. uh oh

POPULATION: 1 with tomata du plenty as the last survivor in the world came out recently on dvd. good treatment with a bonus disc full of extras and a full screamers show. only watched the feature so far, which was weird and tedious but occasionally entertaining. fits in real well with the 'weird america' movies, but not so much as a 'punk' movie. i don't know. it had el duce and penelope houston in it though. really not that bad and relatively short.

other than this, i mean there are only SOME good christmas songs. no solid comps that i've really been aware of, but that ZE one sounds good, but from that list it seems to be lacking 'christmas with tehe devil' by james chance?? WEIRD.
good xmas songs (aside from phil spector christmas) a lot of these have been listed here already but these are my personal preferences.

the chipmunks - the chipmunk song (really did no one mention this here yet?? or did i overlook it?)
the waitresses - christmas wrapping (#1 christmas jam ever. mostly.)
ramones - merry christmas i don't want to fight tonight (duh.)
bad news - cashing in on christmas (ade edmonson and 2 other young ones! the tv specials are awesome)
wizzard - i wish it could be christmas everyday (i don't know much about this band other than they have something to do with ELO and this song is fun!)
run DMC - christmas in hollis (as a kid it became tradition to turn on mtv on xmas and see this video, which would make it a good chistmas. when they stopped playing videos it was pretty upsetting, but it could be caught on vh1 some years. now thanks to youtube the tradition can continue)
spinal tap - christmas with the devil (ok, cheese. ok, i get it.)
buster poindexter - zat you santa claus? (what the fuck was johannsen thinking? its awful, but in a kind of funny way)

oh and i think theres some kids of widney high christmas songs like santa's in a wheelchair and maybe a couple more.
