true. twin peaks is great - but the mis season two slump has to be factored in - BB is at 4 seasons with no slump yet... so yeah.

Honestly, I'd be completely satisfied if this had been the series, rather than the season, finale.  I'm afraid they're going to "jump the shark" with season five and slightly taint one of the best series of all time.

i have been saying for two seasons now that they need to end it and NOT FUCK IT UP. at this point they have proven me wrong every time.

you guys were right about walt doing the poisoning - good call. it was also very phony when he did his relief that the boy was going to be alright. i will get back to this in a few -

gus looked fake but it was one final 'fake out' and a pretty decent way of handling half of his face being gone by showing him walk out and fix his tie on the opposite angle - i assumed he would drop, and maybe they went to far with that cgi, but fuck, it was pretty incredible, silly effects aside.

no real cliffhanger just the overlying "where do things go from here?" feeling, which is pretty great. i think next season will be just as good. i can only hope it will be BETTER.

what to maybe expect for s5: (just quick thoughts?)
walt talked to skylar on a phone in a building being monitored by the DEA. aside from the suspicion that may arise when she took a phone call when shaken about SEEING the news, is there technology that can capture the phone calls just through the air? like tapping the area rather than just a phone

hank of course will now put the pieces together even further, with the wink after 'suck my' and the other one, then gustavo being killed AND the laundromat/meth lab expolosion on the same day. you guys might be right about his partner working for gus as well, as he seems so adamant about NOT following up on hanks suspicions until basically forced, and then still just doing a quick sweep job and no real results

is jesse going to find out that walt did the poisoning and masterminded gus' end? what becomes of that? gus DID need to go, and walt seemed confident enough that his poisoning of the child was truly a decoy - cranston is such a fucking GREAT ACTOR that his fake "oh thank god he's alright! what happened!" was a forced false concern, with relief that his plan  worked. did jesse have suspicions?

and of course an all out endgame, or just allowing the show to disappear without any real "final consequences" for walt and or jesse.

also revisiing the first few seasons, hank seems to arouse suspicion for walt from the beginning. i have a feeling that he knows and has at least had his suspicions all along. the moral dilemma of does he take out his wife's vbrother in law might come into play... but now that gus is gone and hank was right what does that mean?

WHO KNOWS
THAT'S WHY I LOVE THIS SHOW

look at those pictures of the sex offender, and read those lines back about not being naked, testicular cancer & scars on the chest... the 'victim' here was either in denial that the lover she thought was a he was really a she, or just really really really fucking stupid

but maybe you guys are onto something with the idea that walt did it for the same reasons, only maybe didn't use a fatal poison....  gus' body languse, however, seemed to show that he KNEW the baby would die after he had the conversation with jesse about needing to be at work. and notice how quick he was to tell jesse that he DIDN'T have to return to work, that the bath was already ruined, when jesse wouldn't budge with that one?

walt didn't do it.... jesse had the ricin that morning and it wasd gone when he checked. at this point i'm sure gus saw EVERYTHING and knows EVERYTHING, including walt using his facilities to make a silent killer and attempting to get jesse to use it on him. so it would appear jesse did good by not having the guts or feeling slightly loyal enough to gus to not poision him. gus had to have done exactly what walt suggested - poisioned the baby with the same stuff walt gave jesse, therefore feeling that he would have solved his problem with walt by having jesse do the dirty work. it really WAS a genius plan, only walt is a pretty smart dude, and jesse might talk like a moron sometimes but he's definitely not one.

also bought season 1 + 2 today... will try to wait to get s3 until i can find it for less than $30, or whenever i rewatch all the first two, whichever comes first...

i thought about it and realized that i did remember that he calls him mr white, but that i never really noticed the importance of that title in relation to walt and jesse until last night maybe. i'm going to have to go back and watch all of them before it's done, or maybe right after....

walt is a frustrated scientist with a lot on his mind...  and. i didn't think it lacked any from previous weeks. next week is gonna be fucking intense (did you watch the preview?) i like that jesse sticks by walt (in the beginning, and then when he realized what was going on) and most definitely like (and don't think i've noticed before) that he calls him "mr white"... i know it's normal to call someone who was your teacher by mr/ms last name, but it also sort of shows some level of respect....

yeah, way down mexico way only aired once... when i was young (i think i was 10? 11?) and taping them all i got that one like i did all of the others, but for some reason my cable provider screwed up the colors and it's very washed out/some of it looks like it's not there. then around 96 or so during the 'tape trading days' i made someone a copy of that episode as it was sought after, so my weird color drained copy might have been the only one out there for a while.. this has since changed!

loved them from the minute i saw them on the first episode of liquid television's second season.... the first year they were on tv they aired DAILY (with new eps daily, when it was in season for new ones) at 5 or 6 p[m.... awesome

yeah i'm pretty excited.

you do torrent stuff? try to find the kingturd collection... it's 16 discs with EVERYTHING and  then some, some of the early episodes that aren't on any dvd are sourced so good that if it weren't for mtv or vh1 station ids i wouldn't know who they got the master copies from... they look that good. blows away the 'mike judge collection' sets, and have that exclusive to that 3 part documentary on it anyway.

also, i'm still gonna stick with my idea of walt jr. (and the baby, which we barely see) being the only innocent one on the show, so i assume he will probably be the first to go when shit is going down. or hell even the baby. the tip of phone call to save hank's life a second time is definitely going to have major repercussions...

dude how the fuck they gonna show me THAT and not only tell me there are two weeks left, but another 16 (is this the right number?) after that in about a year????  next year's shows are going to be the fucking pits

The ending to this week's episode was so good that it should of been the season's finale. Hell, it wouldn't even be the worst way to wrap up the entire series. Walt rolling in money and laughing manically beneath the floorboards is really the best case scenario for him at this point. Although this could be exactly what he needs in order to grow one last set of balls and finally deal with what's been looming over him for some time now.
i didn't think of it that way until you mentioned it, but that last five/ten minutes definitely would have made for a wonderful SERIES finale. hope they treat us to something even more fulfilling next season when the time comes!!
