2011 is going to be a good year for Perennial records and an even better year for you, our eager listeners.

January promises 7" EPs from HPP and WEIRD TV.

February will likely bring you a 2nd 12" EP from SON SKULL and a debut 7" from WOODEN KIMONO.  More on them later..

And in March we celebrate the newest addition to our happy family, BROKEN WATER, with a 12" EP from them!

That's a pretty busy 1st quarter.  Hope you can keep up.

In Perennial related news:

MILK MUSIC 'Beyond Living' hit the street yesterday. It looks great and sounds even better.

Olympia's newest freakscene 5-gallon gravity bong psychedelic warriors DEAD HEAD have just released their 1st demo CS.  Not too closely related to our thing, I just like it a lot.

NUTS! #6 comes out next month. It's the biggest and most expensive issue yet at 28 pages and $5.  Why $5?  Because of the the MILK MUSIC/ GUN OUTFIT split flexi!  Bet your paying attention now.

Music Shit / Seeking Psychodrama info.
« on: November 09, 2010, 02:24:38 PM »
I'm trying to put together a piece on Psychodrama for a dubious publication.

The only published work about or by any of them that I could find was a suckdog tour diary by Brett Kerby in FE #16.

I heard that he wrote alot of letters to Atlanta zine 'Lowlife' in the 80's.  That shit's probably impossible to find though, as are any recordings.

Can any of you old, weird types supply me with info about this duo, or maybe contact info for people who could answer some questions about them?

Thanks.

Music Shit / Re: paris 1942
« on: November 01, 2010, 02:15:37 PM »
yeah, "hex" is the lone good song on side 2. i call bullshit on 90% of their stuff though, i dunno why anyone would wanna file anything but "torch of the mystics" and maybe "crossdressers" and "dante's disneyland". so much self-congratulatory bullshit. add this band to my "no one actually listens to..." category. i guess i do have them to thank for group doueh and group inerane, so...thanks!

They kind of suffer from 'Merzbow syndrome', sure.  But the stand-out stuff really stands out.  'Horse Cock Phephner' is an awesome record.  And the 'Carnival Folklore Resurrection'(sic?) series is more cool shit than filler for sure.

Paris 1942 is much cooler in theory than in substance.  Just like most of the collector scum fare you people shit yourselves over.

PORTLAND TONIGHT!  We made 20 tour shirts.  You'd better get one quick if you want to flip it on the fucking JERKBOOTH.

A novelty tune about somebody wondering 'what's going on behind the green door'?  It's making me feel curious to learn more about this cheesy song about a seminal big budget porno.
