Raccoons have a layer of fat that is like, an inch-and-a-half thick. Their meat is greasy as hell. I've skinned a handful before (used to trap bobcats) and I know people that have eaten them. Never done it myself.

In teeny Mooreland, Oklahoma there's a taxidermy place called "It's Fur Real."
I can't remember what city it's supposedly in but I remember someone telling me about a restaurant called Dick's where all the waiters are assholes and that's just sort of their schtick. Like, they walk up all bored and annoyed and ask what the hell you want, crud like that. Don't know if it's true but I think it's a kind of funny idea.
