Music Shit / Music to make people not want to shop
« on: March 12, 2017, 02:03:28 PM »
Hello folks,
Driving down the vegas strip today, beautiful weather, listening to Viet Cong's self-titled, a thought popped in my head, "Why not pull punk and indie back from irrelevance by making music that would make people not want to shop?"
I'm afraid this could end up being dangerously close to shitty avant-garde music. Also, as far as I know, most metal has been successful in dodging appropriation by capitaled interests (except that autistic dude in The Big Short, listening to Mastodon while trying to figure out how to get richer). Metal gets boring really fast, though.
What would you guys play over the speakers at Walmart or Nordstrom's, that would not only be 'good', but would also drive people out the doors?
Looking forward to your thoughts,
Sincerely,
Nef
