FOR ANOTHER DAY
I've got a Rickenbacker 330 from the mid-90s, a '78 Gretsch BST 1000, a Korg-era Vox AC-30 with blues, and a '72 Ampeg VT-22. I've been through a lot of guitars and amps, but am pretty sure I'll always have these four and a Deluxe Memory Man. I'm not a snob about shit, but before I got my AC30 I had a Laney copy, and you can't even begin to compare them. That being said, I think the best part about going through different stuff is figuring out exactly what you want to sound like and what it's going to take to get there. On a side note, I think the Gretsch BST 1000 is maybe the best value in guitars period. They're made in the USA, built like tanks, sound great, are easy as fuck to play and can still be had for less than $500.
Also, I'm looking to buy a 12 string electric soon and would appreciate any suggestions folks have. Been looking at the Eastwood Classic 12 and the Gretsch G-5422.
