Got new guitar yesterday, it's a Cherry red Gibson Les Paul Special w/ neck binding. It's amazing  8) I've had a TV Yellow Gibson Les Paul Junior for a few years. I also bought a Gretsch Jim Dandy parlor acoustic last week for $65 on Craigslist :) That's a really cool guitar as well, the small body makes it very comfortable to play.

You should go to see Petite on July 22nd at PDX Pop Now! if you are in Portland Oregon. It's fucking FREE  ;) They played with RVIVR a few months ago.

People in Portland are pretty lame. I make mixes for people or try to talk about music but no one gives a fuck. Even people who say they're into punk  >:( I'm like, "I like this. This is really cool. Check this out. If you like them you might be into this..." Everyone just doesn't give a fuck here. Even worse is people who aren't RELIABLE. I hate that! Kind of given up meeting people.

Starting new job soon. I don't know why someone would hire me. I thought I fucked up the interview but the guy just said, "You're hired!". Ugh! I guess the company is short on staff and I was already told I'll probably be moved up to a higher position. It's weird. I've always seen myself as unemployable. I had 3 current jobs this last year but lost two because of weird circumstances (robbery and building being torn down to make new condos). I plan on buying a better bike and taking some people out to eat just 'cause I like to do nice things for people  :D  My old bike got a flat on Burnside or about there and I had to walk 6 miles home a few days ago. I could have taken the MAX home but I prefer adventure  ;) Have to go to bed now to wake up and go work south of PDX with this Parisian guy I volunteer with at the Oregon Food Bank. He calls me "homie." I think he's possibly a rap music fan. It's weird but he's nice.

I saw Rozz Rezabek from Negative Trend yesterday. I was on 41st AVE near division. Noticed in the window there was an All Ages: Portland Punk History poster and picture of "punk legend Rozz Rezabek" in the window - that's what the picture said. I came back later and saw someone outside and then looked the business up online. It's called Area 41. Rozz owns it. You can see him on the Google Maps Street View.

Got a free guitar amp. I guess it's a "classic" amp or something. Needs a cord. Went to buy one yesterday and was in the store and going to pay when the power cut off in a thunderstorm. That's living in Sellwood PDX  ::)

Went back to my dumpster diving spot. Been there a bunch actually. 300+ psych records sitting in the trash in boxes today. Crazy shit. Not to mention other genres like folk and blues. Went from the top of the dumpster to the bottom. Too much to sort through. There were also full discographies of Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Grateful Dead and Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention. The records had address labels for a woman. Some dated 1971/1972. The address label was for some Michigan town I'd never heard of. Very cool. I can't bring home hundreds of records though. I'm sure the shit is worth money but what are you going to do. I'm not in the record selling business ::)

Worked for some religious people up in the mountains in Washington. Really weird and gave me the creeps. They has this hazed/dead look in their eyes and no emotions. Some guy in a gray tux, New Era baseball cap and flip flops told me I should "smile more"  ::) Got a bunch of free food. People put together to-go boxes only half-full. I go back and fill the fucker up so you can barely close it & also get a second box! Free food rules  :)

Mini Blinds: Air Signs cassette (Portland Oregon, 2016)

Went dumpster diving at a local music shop yesterday. The whole dumpster was filled to the brim with LPs, CDs, DVDs and 45's. Walked away with 24 or 25 records. I'm sure I left a lot of stuff behind. It was really just too much stuff to go through. I pick up anything that looks interesting, is on a label I recognize, anything self-released/DIY, anything with interesting song titles or artwork. I listened to some of the stuff and like it so far.

It's weird listening to a record you found in the trash and realizing that somewhere out in the world someone spent time/effort/money to make something and you're listening to it and you have no clue who these people are/where they're located, etc. It's really weird. It feels like there's some strange connection though space and time. It's also weird to hear someone voice and realize they were in a fucking dumpster waiting for you to pull them out and save/discover them. Life is weird sometimes.

I'll probably go back there in a few days or next week. It was nuts  8)
