Exploding Hearts LP was good, but not the classic people make it out to be. Really the only drop dead, grade-A KILLER songs that band produced were "Teenage Faces," and  "Modern Kicks." Nothing to be ashamed of at all, but not what I would call a classic band.

I agree with that, plus Sniffin' Glue is great.  I'd really like to hear the original version.   I was disapointed when I heard Shattered.  It did nothing for me.

Fast Cars have released three or four singles in the past few years and each one is really good.   I think they're consistently good, not limited to just a few good songs.  But first off, you have to like UK style powerpop.
