Non-Music Shit / Re: Movies I've been watching

3rd time watch of this auto-erotic sex-thriller/drama, by far Cronenberg's most controversial film as some in the english parliament wanted to stop it from being shown in the UK in 1996. Forgot how many weird kinky sex scenes this has and how amazing the Howard Shore soundtrack is. Perfect take on J.G. Ballard's novel. 10/10

Still a bleak postapocalyptic sci-fi 70's classic. Heston is excellent. Aged quite nicely. 8/10

Super solid british caper movie of 1960. With Oliver Reed in a small part as a (gay?) chorus boy. 7.5/10

The Medium (2021). A horrifying story of a shaman's inheritance in the Isan region of Thailand. What could be possessing a family member might not be the Goddess they make it out to be in this amazing and serious "mockumentary". Way better than Blair Which Country. 8/10

Non-Music Shit / Best Paul Vorhoeven interview ever!

Love how idiot Washington Post took Starship Troopers dead serious and got it all wrong, a few idiot PC newpapers in Denmark also made fools of themselves by calling this sci-fi satire masterpice  a "fascist movie", as they did with RoboCop. Verhoeven is by far my favorite living director (along with Cronenberg, another genius who gleefully embraces graphic sex & violence). I argee with the two journalist that Paul maybe has created a new kind of cinema that perfectly fuses european arthouse with violent Hollywood action/sci-fi/noir. I'm certain noone here seen has all of Verhoeven's films as I have, I can recommend his latest nunsploitation/arthouse gem Benedetta.

Not a favorite director by a mile, but ‘Last Picture Show' was pretty fucking rad. Loved his John Ford fanboy-interviews as well.

Most played album this week for me, this debut LP is as good as maybe even better than anything Joy Division and Bauhaus ever released. Greatest 4AD release ever?

Damn fine covers comp

Non-Music Shit / Sex Pistols denied access to Tivoli, Copenhagen, 1977

Get out and stay out, drunk punks!

From Sex Pistols only visit to my town, they played two shows july 13/14 at Daddy's Dance Hall, I was too young to see 'em ... my mom said.

Few hours before at Strøget, biggest shopping street in Denmark.

Great pic from july 13rd gig by my friend Jørgen Angel. Johnny later moved to California and became a wise politician as did Steve and became a cool radio DJ while Sid OD'ed and died in New York. There's a pretty good Paul Cook interview in the latest issue of MOJO.

Short lazy shallow and fastly written hack biography released just after The Wrestler which contains of 70% reviews of films, then the author hired a psychiatrist to write a few words on Mickey's childhood and affairs + a jewelry designer to comment on his fashion style - the last 30% ...  and BAM! 238 pages of LARGE letters and you got yourself a Rourke biography. Pretty entertaining though, Mickey's a kook a and a hoot, a perfect book for short flytrips. Took me 2½ hour to read.

MUCH better.

Non-Music Shit / Robert Duvall is 91 today

Like Gene Hackman and Clint Eastwood.

I'd recommened two amazing 1973 thrillers people might not have seen: The Outfit and Badge 272. Duvall is of course outstanding in both.

A man and his girlfriend plan to rob the mansion of the man's eccentric but wealthy aunt. However, the aunt keeps dozens of cats in her home, and the man is deathly afraid of cats. Fun campy silly shocker from 1969 shot in San Francisco. 7/10

Blew my mind completely! Up there with folk horror masterpieces like Wicker Man! 8/10

Just saw this italian "possession" drama and I'm pretty shocked and certain that both Isabelle Adjani and Linda Blair's roles in Posession and The Exorcist must be somewhat inspired by Daliah Lavi's amazing performance in The Demon (1963). 10/10

Slow moving danish/american sleaze trash by legendary sexploitation icon Joe Sarno (Inga, All the Sins of Sodom) shot by Mikael Salomon (Hard Rain, The Abyss) in my town Copenhagen in 1970 with a pretty creepy artsy incest angle. Only for seasoned elite smut connoisseurs, American woke kids - stay the fuck away from this film! 6/10

More Joe Sarno sleaze, probably his best and most arty feature about a fashion photographer who shoots and shags a lotta hot chicks and has deep artistic crisises and doubts over his work etc. A black/white gem from 1968 with hilarious pretentious dialogue and beautifully shot. 7/10
