Non-Music Shit / Re: Movies I've been watching

Half of his movies are excellent, the rest is shit. Just like Lars Von Trier. All Eli Roth features are shit.

Excellent HBO movie about Hitchcock and the shooting of The Birds and his psychosexual treatment of Tippi Hedren. Amazing performances by Sienna Miller and Toby Jones, good companion piece to Hitchcock (also from 2012) with Anthony Hopkins and Helen Mirren.

Pretty good docu on the black icons ... was Malcom X really killed by Nation Of Islam cuz he said Elijah Muhammad has 8 kids with 6 teenage girls?

Pretty good gory shocker from the director of Saw (which I hated), positively surprised despite all the silliness. Includes outrageous scenes of carnage at a police station that makes the one in Terminator seems wellbehaved. Dead cops rule.

Baaaaaaaaaaad 2nd movie by Glenn Danzig although not as terrible as his debut horror anthology Verotika (nothing is!). Braindead spaghetti horror western with vampires and lotsa big titties (first topless woman on a horse is pornstar Tasha Reign) With Danzig as Bad Bathory. Silly and hilarious but mostly dull shocker with very bad editing (also by Danzig) and lame gore FX. Can't wait for Glenn's 3rd disasterpiece!

Fine solid docu on Ozzy, the stuff on his poor childhood is intense and endearing

Motörhead's Overkill album from 1979 is the blue print for later D-beat crustpunk like Discharge etc. Nobody gives a fuck about your beloved proud boys Black Lips garagerock and their place in the history of rock'n'roll. Overkill is among the three important rock albums ever released. I'm writing this while I'm wiping my ass with my Gonerfest 5 t-shirt.

Now its time to crank up Eat My Fuk, a GG Allin "punk tribute" with royal metalheads Chris Reifert (Death, Autopsy, Abscess), Danny Coralles (Autopsy, Abscess) and Joe Allen (VON, Abscess)

Fans of ANTiSEEN (by far my favorite US punkband that still records and tours) might enjoy these crude lewd sexist drunk tunes as well.

Speaking of Motörhead, heard 'em first in 1977 on some Chiswick comp with other punk acts (Motörhead was considered punk in '77) but with the LP releases of Overkill and Bomber in 1979 they became my favorite band. So I'm been listening to 'em for 44 years. Saw their 1st Danish gig in '82 on their Iron Fist tour and a dozen times later on. Met Lemmy once in the early 00's at a bar and told him he was my # 1 idol, "poor kid", he muttered and grinned. I've interviewed every damn Crypt Records acts that came to Copenhagen during the 90's and 00's, but that don't mean shit to me compared to my 10 seconds with Lemmy at that bar. ... well, The Dirtys were kinda cool.

That Wharflurch album looks and sounds pretty badass.
If you're familar with Acid Witch and their weird psych/doom metal then inject it some filthy fast death metal, truly a unique hybrid and I not a huge fan of hybrid acts in metal, but Wharflurch thinks outside the box in a cool way.

Wintercoffin, a black metal mid-tempo project of Jay Reatard and Evil Army released one 1-side 7" that should have led to more stuff, then my pal Jay died.

Good blackened Memphis stuff

Evil Army's EP from last year

was pretty polish compared to their old LP and singles but decent thrash tunes none the less

Pretty decent London punk act

Dizbuster dude seems to be on a one-man mission to keep this forum up and running! Metal shite mostly, though. ;)
Yeah, wish I had the brassballs to listen to sissyfied conformist collegerock disquised as hip edgy garagepunk like you, but I don't so I listen to shite metal instead

Axis of Advance - Obey

Legendary war metal supremacy

Wharflurch - Psychedelic Realms ov Hell

Last night's sickass triple bill with an old doom metal buddy - all killa no filla of course - with lotsa rapes:

Brigade des moeurs (1985) / Brigade of Death

Ultra violent, sick and wellmade obscure French crime/action masterpiece noone has seen, like The French Connection directed by Joe D'amoto? Lots sex, gore, rapes and decent acting. I love France!

Super weird and sick 1981 artsleaze from the Polish director of La Bete and Immoral Tales with kink masters Udo Kier and Howard Vernon (of Jess Franco fame)

Anxiously awaiting the new nunsploitation howler from Verhoeven (Robocop etc.) I rewatched his dark and sick rape epic, Elle, best movie I saw in 2016. With my fave actress, French behemoth Isabelle Huppert.

Today:

Proper Hammer sci-fi classic

Above average docu on Jett

Sad but great and wellmade docu on Lynott

Decent 2010 sequel

Okay docu despite comments from talentless shitbird  Eli Roth

Not a Marvel fan but this surreal series blew my mind into tiny pieces, 9 episodes at 45 mins, first 7 were sublime satire/weirdness

This and Cigarette Burns were John Carpenter's episodes of Masters Of Horror, good goofy stuff

Violent, sick and dark 70's graphic roughie about a wanna-be cop who rapes hookers from the director of Black Gestapo. The acting is excellent despite all the porn scenes. I think Scorsese saw before making Taxi Driver, its THAT good!

Starts out as voodoo David Lynch in Hollywood then goes apeshit into Cronenberg mindfuckery. Pretty good gory mindfuck series.

Fun violent Scanners spinoff with cult icons Richard Lynch and Brion James

Silly period skinflick with an amazing torture rack scene with Uschi Digard

Saw em 3 years ago, it was amazing! Great mix of all decades of the band. Just heard the new Scientists, Negativity, for the 2nd time, still good but too much filler, wish they made it half hour long.

Anyhoo. Back to metal as always:

Apostasy - Death Return
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwaovLXPy2g

Superior black/thrash rage from Chile

Sermon Of Fames - I Have Seen The Light, And It Was Repulsive
https://i-voidhangerrecords.bandcamp.com/album/i-have-seen-the-light-and-it-was-repulsive

Complex black/death sickness bordering on war metal, Italian style

Vortex Devourer is taken from the 4th album by Putrevore "Miasmal Monstrosity" to be released 5th of October, superior death metal from Madrid

Voivod - To The Death demo 1984 2LP released on Alternative Tentacles with Venom and Mercyful Fate covers, action packed punkmetal goodies

Tne new AMYL AND THE SNIFFERS album, Comfort To Me, rocks! The only new punkband I like, probably not a hip thing to say
https://amylandthesniffers.bandcamp.com/album/comfort-to-me

Lvcifyre - The Broken Seal
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBtT6BJxkWo

Album of the year?

Great comeback!

Edgelords unite against ABBA, how garagepunk rad

Xeper - Ad Numen Satanae
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNkwsKDn24w

Complex weird black metal from this Italian/Norwegian band, like Voivod meets early Mayhem with a dose of Rush at 1st spin

John Foxx - Metamatic

THE synthwave masterpiece of all time! Both in 1980 when I heard it first and now, 100% perfection.

Terminalist - The Great Acceleration
https://terminalist.bandcamp.com/album/the-great-acceleration

Interesting Copenhagen "hyperthrash", for fans of Vektor although this sounds way more blackened

"Porn version" of Polanski's Repulsion by Roberta Findlay, widow of Michael Findlay, they made Snuff, Take Me Naked, The Touch of Her Flesh trilogy, The Ultimate Degenerate etc. Depressive hateful dark and arty 70s sleaze trash, just like the doctor ordered it!

Interesting but looong counterculture flick
https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4paqyu

More 1970 "counterculture" stuff, a pretty decent western about racism. Redford is one handsome devil!

Excellent docu by Fuller's daughter

Unique sad minimalist war flick about a copter following two soldiers, shot after If... and before Malcolm McDowall did A Clockwork Orange and became a star. Written by Robert Shaw.

Dull and shallow "comedy"

The Reefer Madness of anti-commie films!
420
Easy now, rebel punk

More black/death/grindcore awesomeness from TRENCH WARFARE, their first demo, strong Repulsion vibes from these Austin ragers
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PbXCyqPE3o

Digging the title track and The Parchment off the new very proggy Maiden album, the rest is hit 'n' miss as always with any Maiden record after Powerslave (1984)
