Sounds like you had a a blast. That was me a couple years ago. Think I'm kinda over it now. Which sucks.
Indeed I did. I've had some really bad luck in the past with SXSW, so this year was quite refreshing. I'll probably hate it next time around.

ust got home, fucking best time ever! I have no idea how many bands I saw. but these were some highlights I got to see, in no particular order.
-Circle Jerks at Beerland w/Easy Action(I slept behind a bike by the sound guy during their set)/BBQ/G-Jesse
-Kim Phuc a shit load of times. NoBunny, as always!
-Cynics acoustic/Coathangers at some Irish pub where they were giving away free beers.
-Easy Action at Broke Neck. They got to the show after everyone left. I heard Timmy told them not to bother showing up. They went on at like 3am. There was like 10 people in the room when they started playing then out of now where there were all these sketchy, middle aged, gacked out fools everywhere! JB was fucking hammered doing bumps on stage from some fan boy in the front. This night made me a fan.
-Blank Dogs at Sacred Bones showcase. Wasn't sure how it would go over live. Beat my expectations.
-Annihilation Time at the Vice party. Jim came out dressed like El Duce and called everyone faggots then shoved a light saber up his ass and dripped shit on the stage. There was an open bar that let us order six packs at a time. I also heard about some toilets getting busted, but I wouldn't know anything about that.
-Sonics at Emo's. Yeah, they are old as shit, don't move and are pretty boring. But who care's, they opened the show. Dude still rips at guitar.
I'm sure there's plenty more I'm forgetting, oh well.
The biggest low light was seeing the Black Lips and GZA not once but twice in the same day. Saw them unexpectedly right after seeing NoBunny. It was some bullshit battle of the bands sponsored by Dickies in someones backyard. They were so uncomfortable to watch. The Gza kept fucking up the words to shit he's been rapping for 15 years. He kept yelling at the BL's telling them to slow it down. The bass player quit playing and unplugged his shit within 5 minutes. I think I left after 6 minutes. It was gross! One of the guitar players even had on a goofy rapper grill, not the one that sounds like a retard, the other one. Gaddamn was it embarrassing!
