I do agree Wins blow too and don't think we'll ever find a satisfactory replacement. Verlander has won 15 with bottom rung stuff. I just like category dominance like you had with HRs and I had with Ks.  Congrats again though, toughest fantasy season I've ever seen!

Early congrats Seb, there's now no way to catch you now.  I had an outside chance with 7 starting pitchers going on Monday and Tuesday, but didn't get a single quality start and King Felix gave up 7 runs and Paxton 8 on top of that mess. I'm happy with 2nd though with all the changes I had to make between injuries and suckage. I will say I don't like QS overall though because too much parity in fantasy baseball is not a good thing. I would have scored lower if we had Wins, but wouldn't mind that.

I thought about picking Chris Davis back up thinking he can't get worse and is bound to binge, but he keeps getting worse. I figured I might as well stash Verlander instead just to punish myself in hope of a second half run. And talk about limping into the break: Brandon Phillips, CJ Wilson, Josh Beckett, and Victor Martinez all injured the same week and Sterling Matte checks out on a personal leave.

My dumb move of dropping Nelson Cruz is well documented, but it still makes no sense an always injured player stays healthy and puts up epic numbers after a steroid suspension. Meanwhile a player like Braun is still oft-injured and puts up shit stats when he plays.  Rookie pitcher call ups are coming, let's see who gets lucky and who drops the wrong players to get them. Count me in for the latter category.

My smartest move was drafting Chapman despite his broken face.  Glad to have him and Jansen with Addison Reed on the brink.  Lucky moves were picking up Beckett and riding Chisenell while he was hot. Now I get to see if my new look team can hold up and stay healthy for a few weeks.

Chris Davis and Verlander on the wire before the break. Total anarchy. My pitching staff has been so awful the past month I'm in disbelief I'm still hanging in.

Normally sitting around 70 at the break keeps you in contention, but obviously that's out the window and anyone in the 50ish range is still in the mix to win. Seb's turn to carry the flame for a while after Wells and I ran with it. Who's moving up next? It's not going to be me if I keep trying to find waiver aid in players like Gausman.  And hurry back Marte, I want to axe Fowler.

The Danny Salazar experiment lasted long; it's getting tougher to run the bases these days without getting hurt. No DL stint likely, but ain't waiting on a flyer.  Brandon Phillips should be back in action anyways, but he's on my short bus to the wire too if he doesn't step up and drive Votto in more often. No concussion for Marte, but I'd assume he go on the DL instead of the dreaded day-to-day.

David Price is having a tight June, eh Seb? More than likely he'll be playing for a NL contender soon too, which = mo $. My staff is getting lit up a lot lately; Hudson has been acting his age again and CJ Wilson is going through his annual mini-slump. Yu Darvish is winless against the A's and has pitched awful against them his entire career, but I'm dumb enough to let him get lit up because he's gotta break the funk eventually right?

One of my favorite observations is that only 25 qualified players in all of MLB are hitting .300 or higher. Twins pitchers Correia and Nolasco are 2 out of 3 starters in all of MLB with BAAs over .300 with Ricky at .316. Stults has the worst at .317.

Fantasy Darwinism continues with Marte on his way to the DL. Brutal season so far. And I take back my endorsement of Addison Reed. Fucking asshole.

Just went through a divorce and left my record collection behind for my daughters to listen to or pawn and grabbed Dwight Tilley's Sincerely, Bob Seger System's Mongrel and Ramblin', and the Alice Cooper Show as my first scores of collection II. $6 investment from a record store in San Pedro, CR.

More biting less flopping I always say.  And how many babies born during the Cup get named Fifa? I'd hate to have twins. I just got back from Costa Rica and try driving in excited happy drunken traffic instead of  just drunken traffic after a win. On the bright side you do have to kill a tico for la policia to care because if they ain't drunk too they got the fever.

I'm hoping Gausman gives me an Arrieta-esque return. Gambling on the pedigree.

Crazy how tight the rankings are for players outside the top 20. A player can jump 10+ spots overnight easily like Aramis and Morneau recently did.  And Alexei is still ranked 46th even after an ice cold month; I'll probably regret the cut, but his bottom of the order slot pissed me off. I do wish I had a crystal ball though cutting Nelson Cruz and company before Austin Jackson. Another player I thought for sure would get a top of the order spot back. And fantasy writers sure do suck at covering closers. Addison Reed has gotten so much bad press, but is still right there with Kenley Jansen who gets a free pass after each blown save.

I had to laugh at our trade offer, Bones. It was a fair trade, but we still wouldn't have been able to cut Pedroia or Davis if they didn't pick up their games. I'm glad I can officially short leash Davis now and plan on keeping him just after the break if I can stay patient that long(probably not). Anybody else end up with surprise players on the list?

You are the man, Commish!  I didn't realize Yahoo put Alexei Ramirez on the list until just recently and had already picked up Asdrubal for insurance.

Hopefully the Bucs keep Marte behind Polanco if Marte can keep himself off the bench. I'm so relieved V Mart got cut after I cut Nelson Cruz. Softened the blow.

Hey Commish, can we notify you if we want to drop a player on the Cannot Cut list that's not injured? I have a guy(Chris Davis) I want to short leash and a trade is virtually pointless and not worth the effort considering half the wire is outproducing him.

I'm sold on Keuchel. The cat's got one deadly sinker that is fun as fuck to watch.  The Astros in general are a really fun team and got even more fun with Singleton getting the call. Lots of power and speed in the lineup.

If I was a pitching coach I'd make everyone watch Buerhle on how to pitch right. Don't fucking lolligag on the mound, assholes.

Tanaka is a monster. He seems to give up his runs in the first few innings and shuts you down the rest of the game. Have fun once he learns to settle down early.

I hate WAR as a stat. Last season Derek Holland was a WAR stud and we can all name replacements hitters would rather avoid.

Kazmir is nasty without his 96 mph gas gone. Awesome comeback story and hard to believe he just turned 30.

Nelson Cruz is on pace for crushing his career high for home runs....after returning from a steroid suspension.
Cortisone is a steroid, maybe that's what he was using before he got busted.

Joey Votto proved last season how awesome Andre Dawson really was(Yes, I'm going there again). Who gives a shit if you're on base all the time if you're not scoring or driving in a ton of runs.

It's cool watching how clueless Derek Jeter looks this year.
