Non-Music Shit / Re: Project Runway 3 Dork-Out Thread

I felt like season 2 jumped the shark a bit.

I'm such a dork, I had to look up the term ' jumping the shark'.

I thought it had to do with pooping.

Music Shit / Re: Power Pop suggestions?
« on: February 09, 2007, 01:36:51 PM »
Going by today's loose standards of what is power pop...

Man Is The Bastard.

Recommended song: "Roller". If you can't dance to that you need to hang up the ol' dancin' shoes.

You should throw that on at the next east bay dance party, and show everyone how danceable it is.

First off Missy get better!

Today I had lunch at Pizzeria Delfina. Neopolitan style pizza with Chichory, fontina pancetta and thyme. Then walked around the corner for an espresso at Tartine. This  is exactly why I love San Francisco.

Thanks! Too bad it still hasn't happened! I'm now on day four of being at home sick.. Wait and see.. I could be about to pull my first ever 'full week off from work because of sickness'

Lunch report - Udon soup from the public market (well, it's a chicken noodle soup).  It was really good when I first got it, but I only had a few bites and then left it in my car while i was at the doctor's office............ 3 1/2 HOURS LATER I emerge from my doctor's office (mind you - I spent 2 1/2 hours in the lobby waiting to be seen, and then another 45 in an actual room.. STILL WAITING... oh, and then 15 minutes with the doctor who looked at my throat and went "woah!" but still didn't do a throat culture to see if I had strep (????). Great.  At least I'll be getting some anti-biotics.. and a nice note from the doctor as evidence that I am sick (just in case they ask)

Hopefully I won't get food poisoning from my now luke-warm soup that I'm reheating for my super late lunch.

Next week, I will need to go to the ultimate Sacto burger, the Squeez Inn.

I've eaten a lot of burgers (it's obvious), but Squeeze Inn is the single best cheeseburger I have ever eaten, anywhere.  EVER.

Cheese skirt lovers unite.

Yesterday was a false alarm. My nose is stuffed up and I spend the night not sleeping and mouth breathing, so now I've got drool caked on my chin and a sore throat.

Anyway.. home sick again = fridge lunch

Yellow pepper, tofu, potato, zucchini with some weird trade joe's 'simmer sauce' (i guess it's a curry / spinach?)

I love how it's possible to get away with anything as long as you head for rehab as soon as you get caught.

Did you get a flu shot this year? Hope you feel better.

Dammit. I'll feed it anyway.

I didn't get a flu shot this year (funny, since I work in a health services building)..
I'm feeling a bit better today (well, the fever broke).

At 2am I accidentally popped a dayquil rather than a nyquil. I suffered through the crazy 'not sleeping' dreams for approximately 2 hours, before I popped a nyquil and let the two of 'em fight it out.

OH THE DISPARITY!

despairity.

I keep dry heaving it was so good. Anyone that knows me well knows the sound already. It's my "party" catch phrase. I'd probably already be done with the recording I'm working on if I didn't keep ruining the tracks with my BLLLLEEEEEAAAACCCCGGGHHH HH-ing every couple of minutes. I think my body is rejecting the universe, violently.

me too, every time i try to sing i violently dry heave, usualyl work it out of my system in time to not miss too many words though.  recording is even worse.  i find liquor to be a good cure.

right now im making mac n cheese with hamburger meat.  yum.

Ha. Last night we dicussed all the things we like to put into mac and cheese. My favorites were veggies (steamed) and/or tuna fish
