wow, the first LP is going for $2-3 on discogs. aggressively recommend jumping on that for anyone reading this that doesn't have it

Strange that so much great stuff that was hot on Terminal Boredom years back is now sitting stagnant on Discogs with very little interest.

If you were in a band in the '00s, your record is now worth $3.

Seems so. The stellar stuff from Siltbreeze, In the Red, Not Not Fun, S-S... has got to bounce back, or maybe my taste in music sucks.

Mojave 3 - first release, liking it, mellow.
The Feeling of Love - revisited after a few years, still love the VU influence
Goon Sax - cuteness, and a must for Go-Between fans
Low - been on a serious Low kick lately, such a solid discography
Tim Hecker - Virgins, great experimental sounds
Camp Cope - strong vocals, very catchy

I got that $100, and just two years later it was trading for $1000. Now there is this:

Wow. That's quite an undertaking.

That Flesh Eaters LP is solid throughout, such a great record.

Here's a piece I cranked out about the general attitude of record collectors towards RSD:
http://ww2.kqed.org/arts/2014/04/19/do-record-collectors-like-record-store-day/

It ran Saturday because the assignment came out me last minute but I'm happy with how it turned out.

Nice work. I cruised one local shop on RSD two hours after opening, and there was still a short line outside and an even longer line inside for the cash register. I didn't see a damn thing I was willing to drop money on. A couple of "flippers" maybe (LCD Soundsystem box , Soundgarden 10" set), but left the store empty handed. I now wish I had waited even longer (late afternoon) before checking it out, what a frickin' zoo. Still a cool vibe though, and good for the small stores.

Time to crack open a beer.

The first Pinback on LP is cool.

Their first EP is pretty damn solid, and not overly brash. Unfortunately most mid period Swans LPs (the Young God releases in particular) are out of print, selling for $100+. The album(s) I see pop up the most in record stores are Children of God and Burning World. Children of God is great, Burning World is a step backwards - too clean. Holy Money and Greed are also pretty easy to find. The Seer is a 3LP beast, and highly recommended if you're into side long, epic like tracks.

Like the show, but still not buying the Woody Harrelson character banging not just one, but two smokin hot 20-somethings.

I always thought his lyrics were interesting, if that means anything.

I like Smog's 90's output up to Dongs of Sevotion. I've never seen him live or read any bio about him, is he some kind of poseur asshole?

I'd like to get my hands on that first Tall Dwarfs LP, but too expensive.

Pretty good price on this if you can find something else for $10 for the free shipping

Yes, the reissue killed the rarity factor.
