Set sales used to be about the music, man.

Discogs prices w/o the seller fees.

Hoi' Polloi - S/t (1972) - not sure what to think of this yet, sometimes it's great while sometimes it tend to go in some territories (jazz ?) i could care less

Really, really didn't like this on first listen.

Bought it on description and am pretty underwhelmed.

Maybe it's a grower.

Wow smith w/ Gene Clark avatar. A blast from the past via Pitchfork forum.

MDF is total bullshit, and if that's what they're using, this is a bunch of shit as well.

I don't know much about audio engineering, but what I lack in that I make up for in genetic knowledge of coming from several generations of lumberjacks and wood workers.. I can say that MDF has absolutely no acoustic properties. Might as well jizz into a fan.

You nailed it. That thing is a hunk of shit.

Non-Music Shit / Re: George Zimmerman acquitted

The man is a coward and everyone who defends him exposes their own cowardice. It's pathetic, and nothing new.

This pretty much sums it up imo. Zimmerman was driving armed through a nice neighborhood supposedly on his way to Target. Paranoid much? Just another wannabe Charles Bronson who never would have followed/confronted Martin if he wasn't armed.

I sort of understand why someone would have a gun in their home for a false feeling of protection, but unless you're in law enforcement, I see no reason why tools like Zimmerman find it necessary to carry a gun around like a wallet or cell phone. A complete paranoid coward.

In regards to the case, the prosecution couldn't disprove that Zimmerman was acting in self-defense, and lost. It's as simple as that.

Maybe take a community college creative writing course. Check instructor at RateMyProfessor.com before registering.

JUST CURIOUS is the blue Oblivians gone?
most likely...

Wondering if stores received any blue copies? Or were they limited to online pre orders?

Also, was there a special sticker on shrink specifying blue vinyl?

Gently Across the Stream is a pretty solid release, but didn't get into their earlier stuff much.

Why is your stuff on that page so expensive? Are you famous or something?

What is an "MXN'' or what does it mean? Is it an extremely rare obscure type of digital file?

MXN = Mexican peso I assume. He mentioned that they're in San Diego/Tijuana area.

Yo clif - where's the record I paid for a month ago?

Hope you get your stuff...  I paid on April 3rd, received only correspondence on April 20th with the message "sent out yesterday", package arrive May 2nd (postmarked from the 29th).  Not exactly a smooth transaction, but did want to confirm that I eventually received the records.

Thanks, keeping my fingers crossed.

LOL seriously??? Why go looking for OGs at a garage sale when you can BIN a reissue at home in the nude????

b/w

Nothing is stupider then buying an OG when there is already a reissue!!!!!!!

b/w

Pulling an OG Sex Drive would ever be considered a major coup!!!!

Three sides of pain for Zeekzeus

Good grief, what the hell are you talking about?

The only reason I quoted CollectorScum's post was that I scored my original copy years ago for $7 (Ebay), and was selfishly disappointed when it was reissued. But I agree, it's still a special find, especially at a garage sale.

A buddy of mine who maybe lurks here pulled an Embarrassment "Sex Drive" 45 out of a suburban NJ garage sale today.

Which would have been huge a couple of years back, before reish.
