You could send International 1st Class, then Register package for an additional fee. This will work if you're looking to cover yourself against Paypal dispute.

Oddly enough, registered packages from the US are not very trackable.  I think paypal only accepts priority/express international tracking, which means charging $40+ to send a record.  You're better off sending without tracking and insisting on 3rd party insurance through U-Pic for all international orders of any value.

Actually I'm unsure about Registered Mail International and Paypal disputes.

According to USPS: "Registered Mail service provides the sender with a mailing receipt, and upon request, when available, electronic verification that an article was delivered, or that an attempt at delivery was made."
The questionable words being, "when available".

Fortunately, I've never had an international buyer open up a claim against me.

New Releases For Sale/Distro Updates / Re: Urinals 7-inch reissues

I still occasionally see the boot versions that came out a few years ago.

I just picked up the "Another" boot recently, It sounds kind of like junk, but I think that works for the Urinals. I will be getting the other two reish's though, this is cool news.

I haven't noticed poor sound quality, then again I've never heard original pressings.

I've had much better luck with CDs at thrift stores.

Recently found Exile in Main St. 2LP at thrift - when checking condition i found one of the records was missing the other was a beat up Bob Seeger record. Typical.

The problem with IKEA shelves is they have no backing. So the records just push through; a total pain in the ass.

There is 1 copy for sale on Discogs from a US seller, if you want to pay a few bucks more than distro price.

Damn. He's got consistently good stock, but the 'Grouch really puts the "ouch" in record shopping.

I visited the old location (downstairs from clothing boutique) once, lots of records, but most were conditional and slightly overpriced. Also, it was cash only. I picked up a Felt, Swans, and Birthday Party LPs.

Please let me know what the actual shipping cost is? Currently I'm charging $10 to Europe for a 7", is that too low?

I use Bags Unlimited mailers with cardboard pads.

7" = 6 oz = $12.75 retail or $11.48 endicia/etc

12" = 20 oz = $18.60 retail or $16.74 endicia/etc

I add a bit for my packaging costs, so I charge $12.50 single or $18.50 album

I guess I better knock it up a few bucks, bastards.

@giantleech -
international first class package rates have gone through the fucking roof!

I sold a $40 single on discogs yesterday + $12.50 shipping and the guy paid immediately with zero complaints.  We'll see how it goes long term...
