that's too good. i once had a copy of all the presidents men (the book) that suddenly turned into a biography of the hershey's chocolate empire for 50 pages and then went back to watergate. no LPs, though.

these are five great songs. i sure hope that one day i will be able to acquire a copy for less than four dollars plus tax/shipping a song. good for the mantles, though - they keep getting better! i hope you're seeing some of those insane prices.

is anyone else as into this as i am? i'm not hearing much talk about it but i think it's really great! they were wonderful live when they came through, as well. the newer album is certainly more intricate and deliberate than the first one. lots of pretty gorgeous moments that kind of recall sonic youth's more touching stuff, to me.

i'm certainly a paris 1919 guy, but fear is packed with some pretty amazing shit. fear is a man's best friend, barracuda, you know more than i know, buffalo ballet. paris 1919 is still my favorite though. it doesn't get better than antarctica starts here.

that mantles mp3 posted a while back is really good (naturally) but too bad i'll never be able to own it because it's on fucking mexican summer. it will probably be a 15 dollar 4 song ep that will sell out before word even is out that it's been released.
