Music scene here is on the come up: Crocodiles, Spirit Photography, Braaiins, Christmas Island, Ale Mania, Blessure Grave, Dr. Bird, Kill Me Tomorrow, the Anasazis, Wavves, Jill St. John, Powerchords, the Atoms... I mean, there is a varied group of bands.  Just trying to find a club that supports more than one or two band shows and that can do all ages stuff without having to drive to La Jolla or the fucking Epicenter is hard right now.

I've scored plenty of great shit here, and I've only lived in SD since July.  Whoever said SD is the worst major city for record shopping is taking it a bit too far haha.

Record City: new stuff is minimal.  Go for the used.  They scored an insane collection about a month ago if you are into weird post punk/goth/80's punk and I literally finished three or four collections I was trying to complete.  Don't know how much is left.  You can find GREAT deals, and Mario works there and he rules.

Taang: bring mom's credit card.

Thirstymoon: Best for good reissues.  Don't think I've bought anything current there.  Just stuff on Get Back and what not.  Wish they had more seven inches.

M-Theory: good selection of most things current.  Used section has some good finds, but they will overprice what they think is "rare".

Route 44: usually has every Siltbreeze release.  That's why I go there haha.

Off The Record: hit or miss.

well, its not just that black n white drawing.  its me cutting out all this grip tape shit....pasting it all over the sleeve...trimming it down to size, so it fits perfectly over the record...then once the full grip sleeve is assembled i cut pieces of the grip tape backing to cover the inner hold from stocking to the actual record and make it match up decently.  after that, i cut out two 8 1/2 X 11 transparencies i had printed for the front and back cover.  i cut them exactly to the scale of each individual record so it fits perfectly THAT grip tape sleeve.  then, i bag it all.  all in all, the grip tape part costs $2.50 per record.  The transparencies cost $1.50 per record at .75 per sheet from n back...then the record at a 300 press are like maybe $3 per record.  So it cost me about $7 to make each and every single one.  Why?  Because once again its punk rock you fagogots.  Hahaha!  fagogootss!!!  niiiice.  no but im just sayin it cost a lot of time n money but its so worth it.  just i hate when im losing like $2.50 per record and people are like bitching my ear out n shit.  The shit said preorder anyways.  Fuckin wait.  jesus.  yall know im nice.  i aint here to dick anybody over.  gimme some courtesy sometimes.  i hate those people

Have no idea what you are even describing but it sounds dope!

Figuring out wholesale prices now.  I'm actually gonna be able to do it cheaper than I thought.

The other 50 will be sold on ebay under the member name: jayreatard

Also, just a note, these are $0.50 cheaper than that blank dogs 7".  If you're trying to save money...I think you know which one to buy.

Cute.

New Releases For Sale/Distro Updates / Re: BLANK DOGS "IN HERE" 7" PREORDER

I understand where everyone is coming from.  To be honest, I copied Jeremy/Woodsist's prices after lowballing myself and getting stuck sending an LP to Sweden for 11 dollars, which was about six bucks more than I expected it to be.  I'm not cutting any costs with these releases and each record is coming out to about a buck or so less than the wholesale price I'm charging for it.  Every dollar I get goes into the next record being released, period.  If I was pressing 1000+ of each record it'd be much easier for me to charge a lot less and still get records out but I'm kind of stuck doing it this way or else it'd be a failing endeavor.

But yeah, with prices being the way they are, the 7" format has lost it's appeal in many ways.  I hope to do more 12"s in the future, but I can't help but press as many singles as possible because I just love the look and feel and it's what I grew up on.

First 100 are yellow, second 200 are blue, the rest (400) are black, so if you want to view it from an eBay standpoint, the first 300 are eBay gold haha.

Or you could keep it and listen to it.  Both work.

TPK 7" goes off next week with the WL single.  I'mma keep cranking these out!
