right, but do those bands (bruisers. stars and stripes) have any contemporaries... or were they the only ones doing that sort of thing at the time?

Is there anything else out there in the vein of Stars and Stripes and the early Bruisers stuff.. i.e. oi!-inspired hardcore rather than what people call "streetpunk"

Non-Music Shit / Re: Crunchy peanut-butter...

crunchy is way better than smooth, but smooth is still good

white bread sucks, except with peanut butter sandwiches and the grilled cheese sandwiches that use processed cheese

whitebread is apparently why the I-tais and the pork chops call WASPs "mangecakes"

the idea is that there's no such thing as right or wrong (as in, i don't give a shit), and therefore, if i want to call a retarded kid a retard then i'm sure as fuck gonna do it and not feel bad about it.  got anything better?

are you trying to teach us about some kind of post-modern moral philosophy?

i think the jury's out... i think he might be one of those indie weenies whose gay for the chicks.  indie girls seem to like the effeminate types.

i'm sure the lawyers found him, not visa versa.  just like the people suing borat... they had not idea they had a case until the lawyers show up and tell them they can make some money.  its the litigous culture you americans have.

oh and dave chapelle's block party, not amazing because all the hiphop artist featured (other than kanye) kinda had their day six years ago, and there's not much comedy from dave chapelle, but still entertaining to watch

recently i watched:

bad santa: really surprised how good it was... same director as ghost world and art school confidential and it has the same feel

the inside man: not amazing, but a cool Spike Lee twist on the heist genre

poor cow: one of ken loaches early films.. not as bleak as his later stuff cuz its got a swinging sixties vibe, but still typical social reaism,  its about this girl from west london who's husband gets locked up so her and her child are trying to survive, she sleeps around, gets beaten up, in the end she can't escape her social position and gender, etc, etc, etc, etc.,

Non-Music Shit / Re: What are your new years plans?
« on: December 08, 2006, 02:45:11 AM »
new years is allways, allways, allways a let-down, usually worse than any typical weekendn ight because of all the build-up and all the part-timers who don't really get drunk any other times.

i might take a few chlamizapans and try to pass out before midnight.
