Batch didn't look good. He looked great. 5-5 on final drive.

Rice only ran ball 12 times over first 3Q and, as you note, none in 4th Q. Ravens only had 9 plays in 4th Q, one run.

The idiot Harbaugh has a recurring problem of underusing Rice.

Steelers crowded LOS, dared Flacco to throw, he fucked up. A familiar tale. He's a bum. So is Romo.

Romo and Flacco have the same # of wins as starting QB w/ Romo having about 10 more losses. People continue to debate whether these two stiffs are elite.

what makes it even funnier is Flacco pleading his case to the media.  if you have to TELL everybody you're the best, then, well...

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7772584/joe-flacco-baltimore-ravens-says-think-best-qb-nfl

nobody dares "elite" qbs to throw.  because they'd get burnt more often than not.  that's why they're "elite", i guess.  Flacco's a bum.

charlie batch actually looked pretty good.  made some really tough throws (deep outs, etc) and managed the game well.  funny hearing talk radio, sportcenter etc say he's "57 years old".  not sure why ravens abandoned ray rice late in the game.  flacco is like a better romo...he wins more games, but given time, he will fuck it up.  not clutch at all.

The NFL used to be a niche league like AC/DC is a niche band, wildly popular for a long time but not the most popular.

Yes, entertain the fans. The league is on a haphazard quest to create new fans. Not the same thing.

To me the NFL PTB have decided to make it a People Magazine QB league. Oops, not enough good QBs around. Will you be entertained by any of this weeks 13 games involving losing teams, most w/ crap QBs?

In terms of honesty from its public representatives and labor relations and consideration of its longtime core fans, the NFL is the worst. The NHL is bad (all pro sports have their mgmt problems) but at least it hasn't eliminated fighting.

"As of 2010, AC/DC had sold more than 200 million albums worldwide,[5] including 71 million albums in the United States alone.[6] Back in Black has sold an estimated 50 million units worldwide, making it the second-highest-selling album by any artist ? behind only Michael Jackson's Thriller ? and the highest-selling album by any band." ------> niche?  according to sales, they are the most popular band in the world.  and rather good, IMO.

i watched the entire chiefs-steelers game last night, and was entertained the whole time.  personally, i like it when teams with poor records can give heavily-favored teams a run for their money (and sometimes win, like when the chiefs took down the packers ending their perfect season in 2011).  to me, that makes the NFL fun to watch every week.

there are still huge hits.  did you see jay cutler get his shit rocked sunday night?

i definitely agree with you that the upper management is a shit-show, but with all due respect, i think the rest of your argument is sketchy at best.

The NFL sucks. No tackling allowed. Over half the teams under 500. 10 of 16 in AFC.  Owners are complete greedheads. Roger Goodell is worst commissioner ever. Fake concern for player safety while he tries to add games to reg season is phony as it gets.  Watching two teams w winning records (Bears have four TO before half) play each other right now, the only game of its kind this weekend. Next year QB and receivers will wear ballet garb. You are watching professional football transform to professional showbiz.

i agree about goodell, but what other professional sports league is better?  isn't the whole point of professional sports to entertain its fans?

So since Taylor Swift is the most popular musician in the world that means she's the best? Think of any popular entertainment (which is what the NFL aspires to be no doubt about it) and the relationship between best and popular.

i'd like to think of the NFL as more of an AC/DC type.  maybe that's just me though.

aannd arsenal picked up 3 against city.  tottenham drops points to norwich at home. mind the gap!

Oh bore off you fucking mong.  Arsenal are shite u cunt.

ah, to be 3rd.  already signed podolski, gonna sell chamakh, squillaci, etc and sign some badasses, jack wilshire comes back...looking good for the gunners in 2012/13.

the real winner yesterday in the champions league final?  gareth bale's agent!  mind the gap!

I think you'll find Van rapists agent's the one making some money close season. Now why don't you fuck off and shag your pig sister some more you boring inbred, banjo-picking gerbil-loader?  Arsenal won fuck all again and you're a total bore! Just cos the scum came 1 point ahead of spurs (The gap!) doesn't mean you should come on a music board and give it large. Mug!

just cheering on my team's placement as the top side in london, while simultaneously making fun of our rivals not making the champions league.  on an EPL thread of a (mostly) music board.  note that the EPL thread is in the "non music shit" section.

funny that you're all butthurt, seeing that spurs completely auto-erotic asphyxiated down the stretch...you were the main one talking shit in nov/dec.  if were to "fuck off" this wouldn't be any fun!  AT LEAST LET ME HAVE SOME FUN, DUDE..fucking CHRIST.
