Music Shit / Re: Art Lessing and/or Flower Vato

crazy that a student run radio station has it's own label.  in my experience art related projects run by large groups usually turn out terribly... shit, i'd settle for some art lessing flower vato jams on tape even since my cd player's drawer won't open and i'm too lazy to buy a new one.  i remember seeing them in summer of 06 and being super into it.

Music Shit / Re: has anyone seen Catatonic Youth play live?

good question.  my band had a show w/ them booked in august too.  didn't show up.  i sent a myspace message the next day to see if everything was okay thinking maybe the dude was sick or had car trouble or soemthing and didn't even get a response.  oh well, at least i have the recordings to listen to...

"the fields" is probably my favorite blank dogs yet.  how are the 2 extra songs on the wavves lp?  already have the tape and am not exactly into buying albums twice...

i think Huggy Bear's output has held up really well.  i still listen to the KRS 10" that comped the UK singles on the regular

Me too along with the Weaponry album, though the vibe is pretty different from the earlier stuff.

i agree that the huggy bear stuff still sounds really good to me and that it's one of the only bands of that era that i can enjoy without thinking about the context.  i've had the huggy bear / bikini kill split for about 10 years and listen to the huggy bear side about 20 or so times for every time i listen to the bikini kill side.

i have seen the lp on troubleman in free boxes all over the northwest like 10, 15 times.  never met anybody who actually paid for a copy, though.
