I dig the Hackamore Brick record....yeh it's basically VU light but there are some good songs.  "Zip Gun Woman" and "Searchin" are rockers.  Reachin is a hit too.  Some of the record drags for sure, but I think it's solid overall.

Yesterday Started Tomorrow is actually a good record....and STP not LSD is not bad even tho it's not that good either.

I wouldn't count the Samoans on this list, they never had a huge dropoff

I don't think this is an issue of ppl not being able to hang bc it's not pop.  Honestly there's only a handful of ppl like that on here(Young Steve).  Is it possible that a lot of songs on here just aren't that good?

Shudder to think right.....

I like a lot of the bands that Cream influenced better than Cream.  Also most of the psych/heavy stuff people spout off about is pretty mediocre, same goes for most bands that get talked up.  80% of it is bad to average...only a little is actually worth of repeated listens.

Not that impressed.  There are some really strong tracks but a lot of em are pretty middling.  There's no real killer tracks on this...I do like the Grind, Shado and Tonge tracks a lot.

Er, I'm actually meaning to josh the scumstatters....not so much you!

You're digging shit up from page 9 of this thread as if it has any context now?

Yeah, I booked his new band at The Hub. We're having a show, not a panel discussion on how to run a record label. His band is co-touring with Dangerous Boys Club, which is a must-see for me based on how their record sounds, and the ex-members-of connections. These bands have adoring fans that are unaware and unconcerned about all of this. Compared to punishing one person on this tour, I'd rather keep those paying fans pleased and The Hub breaking even, or closer to breaking even. The reasons to book the show outweighed reasons not to book it. I'm also into keeping The Hub off the radar of police, so peace will be enforced if some TermBro comes to collect. Print a Paypal receipt and calmly ask for a refund. If it escalates, you'll be the third person I've ever bounced outta here. I booked this show on my own terms based on the principle of for-the-greater-good.

don't you care about tha scene at all?  really harshin my mellow maaann

eh, opinions.  i cant rank em cause i love em both, they are both heroes to me.  whereas i can listen to a john mayall album or something, and easily discern how much blander it is than either cream or blue cheer.

don't copout with that "opinions" jive...something's go behind opinions.  hell in someone's opinion NOFX is one of the best punk bands ever.   A Maserati is a better car than a Buick.  At some point, things progress beyond subjectivity/opinion range.  It's just the truth.

What's wrong with Cowboy Bill?  It's kinda silly but it's really not even that bad...

Jesus is ok too but something about it seems like trying too hard to be meaningful
