I don't really have a problem with Clapton's solos with Cream.  When you play both bands back to back, there's just no comparison.  It's like comparing the Damned to the Lurkers.  Both bands are good in their own way but you can tell that you're hearing something superior in one that you don't hear in the other.

Cream is alright with me, but nothing about them is mindblowing.  If you wanna talk about a real rock power trio, I fucks with Blue Cheer.  Cream couldn't fuck with them AT ALL.

they have their moments here and there, their douchebaggery overshadows any good songs that they ever did.  but there have been way worse bands.
