Hey Boners

we got a new tape comin out in a few weeks (get sent to the plant monday) by Broken Neck. We're pretty stoked on this band and you should be too. It's easy to pin this band as a hardcore band and while there's nothing wrong with that, the tape has a bit more depth to it. You can tell these guys studied Nirvana pretty well (for better or worse, listen to Fights over Nothing for example) and probably do a lot of drugs. Every hardcore band seems to be discribed as pissed off, I dunno if they are so much pissed off as they are just bored. Whatever it doesn't matter, this shit rules. Go listen to a song: http://Http://www.myspace.com/fandeathrecords .

We hope your summer is winding down to a shitty halt like it is to ours. School, finding jobs etc al. None the less, we got two new tapes that you should order: The New Flesh - Demo re-issue (Which Nextclues.com called "Possibly Genius" (yeah right) and gave a 9/10) & Locrain - Rain of Ashes. Both you can buy at http://www.fandeathrecords.com

We will have a new order shop up possibly by the end of the week. It looks great and runs real smooth. It's a real store etc. No more long waits for your packages, we got this shit on lockdown now, and it's killer. Tracy our webmaster, friend, and baseball hater has helped us all summer. She rules. We'll have new records from Kurt Vile, Factorymen, Billy Bao, Drunkdriver, XYX, Gang Wizard, FNU Ronnies and more.

We are stoked to announce that we will be putting out a release with BROKEN NECK. This band totally slays. Think In utero meets shitty hardcore, or shitty nirvana meets awesome hardcore. It's really nothing like that at all, it just give us a chance to use in utero in some way. Anyways go listen to their shit: http://Http://www.myspace.com/brokenneckpa

We're about to send out to get more drunkdriver knife day 7" 's. Keep it in your pants chief, the black vinyl will never be re-issued for you record dorks, and the white vinyl will also be limited. Expect this out in oct. Yes there will be pre orders but not UNTIL we know it's gonna be in our hands. We will have in stock Fire Sale 7" and the Mattin split when our new store launches.

Those in Japan and Australia we love you and want to visit you. So buy our records so we can come by drink your beer, do your drugs, and your women. We have now made it easier thanks to our friends VINYL JUNKIE in Japan (home to Astrobrite and Ringo Deathstarr) and STAINED CIRCLES (Home to Clockclean er, Pink Reason, exstortion, Jay Reatard and more) in Australia. While you can certainly buy from us, it'll be easier and probably cheaper for you to buy from them. So give em a few weeks and they'll be stocked up...ya dig?

We have a few up coming Fan Death sponsored shows, so you should come if you can. It'll be better then that dumb wanna be garage rock or Cold Cave shitty-ness you wanna see...and no dudes listening to Cold Cave will not get you laid, move on please.

Perth, Australia, is a city of 1,650,000 that?s separated from the rest of Australia by over a thousand miles of outback. Perth is home to the Australian Football League?s West Coast Eagles, the late Bon Scott, and a lot of bored young people, like the three charming young men who make up Taco Leg. Instead of buying Marshall stacks and trying to play the Big Day Out festival, Taco Leg plays sloppy dirge-pop, indebted to the back catalogs of Subterranean, Kill Rock Stars and K Records. The A-Side of Taco Leg?s debut 7″ is their hit, ?Freemason?s Hall?, which originally appeared on their Spider in the Mouth demo cassette. The take here is more aggressive than the original version on the tape, which Vice described as having ?all the punch of a timid wigger on a rainy day, but seems to be the track that gets across all these fellows want to say.? A hypnotic, looping riff buzzes underneath Andrew Murray?s cryptic lyrics. B-Side ?Sunbathing in Squalor? is a bit poppier, or at least more trebly, and features use of a cowbell. You wanna talk ?weird punk?? Let?s talk ?weird punk?.
