your band sucks

Classic Termbo.  Thanks.

pitchfork's gonna love you guys.

Doubtful.  I predict a half decent review with a 5.8 rating.

We don't look cool, and we don't look dumb enough to be cool.

Something Fierce has gotta be the gayest name ever. That's not even a judgement, and I have never heard them, but holy shit, Something Fierce? You go, girlfriend....

It's pretty "gay," I guess.

But you should hear the music.  You would probably like us even less.

The new album "Don't Be So Cruel" is out on Dirtnap Records.

Still putting out records.  We're working on a euro 7" for Narshardaa Records, based out of Germany, and an LP/CD for Dirtnap Records in 2011.

The music is poppy as fuck.  Have a listen.

You hate powerpop.  I think you've made that clear, so I don't think I was trying to sell you anything, first off.  Second, I wasn't asking any one to buy our shit, to book our band, to tell their friends.  Fuck that, I am not cynical, but meeting people like yourself does make me sad to know what mean fucks are lurking at every corner.

Some of your bands have come through my city, and I'm pretty sure Brent from Dullknife Records set them up.  I doubt you all knew each other from day one. At one point, some one had to get out there and show people their music.  Whether or not you believe I was genuine is your own opinion.  I wanted to meet people, bullshit with everyone and maybe even make a fucking friend.  Vinnie threw that right out the door with his first comment, and I wasn't thin-skinned because I played his game right back.  I think you're the dick that took this all a bit too personal.

I like how much effort you have to put into being an asshole.  I mean, you have to try so hard.  And yeah, that's called a "biography" for an "electronic press kit" that is used, at times, to book shows with "promoters."  Keep up with me, SSR.  I'm sure you don't know anything about all of this.  It's not like you deal with bands or anything.

Fair enough.  I don't like DJ's, I don't dance, but I do like Powerpop because it can be fast, smart and full of good songwriting.  There is good and bad, just like anything else in the world.  Once you grow up, Teenagegurls, you can accept that.

Getting paid fifty bucks in Memphis is tops, Vinnie.  Way to be a pussy.

Hello everyone,
This is Steven with Something Fierce.  We're a small punk band, so I'm sure you've never heard of us.  I know the world is overcrowded with bands and egotistical assholes trying to sell something at every turn, but I don't want to sell you anything.  I just want you to hear us.  Give our music a listen because we're genuine people that work hard and put a lot of love into what we do.

We're touring the West coast in January, sharing the stage with bands like Young Offenders, Tranzmitors, and Off With Their Heads, and we play a hot blast of punk and powerpop jams.

Just listen to the music.

Thank you,
SG
